everybody knows someone who is a big old jerk
have fun with the homecoming king
I hope you got what you wanted
enjoy your glittering things
all the whispers and stares you get
from under barrels deep in shadow
(that's not my baby, where is my baby)
echoes bubble up from nowhere
look at that rascal run
don't worry worry 'bout me
I'm sure you got what you wanted
don't come to the gallows tree
someplace has got to be mine
but why'm I sharing? no one's asking
(that's not my baby, where is my baby)
if you saw me then you'd see me
look at that rascal run

Such an interesting space you've created here, and when I see autoharp, I assume folky. You blew my mind. This song somehow straddles many genres in several decades, from the first airport hangar reverb strum to the final impassioned "run!" Abstract and specific at the same time, I just really enjoyed the soundspace of the chords and the juxtaposed other voice chiming in with some sweet harmonies. One of the most unique songs I've heard here this year. Wow. Listening again.

This could be Magnetic Field’s 70th love song ;-). “That’s not my baby…” definitely stands out. Great style and delivery.

OMG Autoharp! So glad to hear it. I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate it into a song, and this is it!
I really like your vocals, they seem really strong, and I love the affect you have on the background vocals, and a big finish! Good job.
