these waters
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
Should be praying for the fresher water that we can begin in
I came across a prayer that spoke straight to me
Had it memorized so I could share it with everybody
And when I had seen who had written that prayer
I doubled in size with pride right there
I came across some music that moved my feet and soul
And learned to dance and sing because it made me feel whole
I shared it with the world, my role being to convert
And I kept on growing, never knowing who I hurt
It was never my prayer, it was never my song
It was never my dance, it was never my poem
It was never my art
It was never my vision
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
I swim in these waters without knowing what I swim in
Now I’m praying for the fresher water that we can begin in

Gorgeous song, cool arpeggiation that last note hangs there so lovely, feels like a gentle wave, Enjoying the lyrics, and this overall sense of surrender.

I really like the piano syncopation. It makes this feel like a cool meditation. Really like this.

Really strong writing. The piano figure is solid but versatile, the recurring lyric is evocative and pulls through thematically. Really enjoyed this piece.
