partly based on that oft-cited fake fact that you swallow seven spiders in your sleep per year. just had a lot of fun with this one
+ the train lines are based on standpoint theory but only losely
I’m still too tired to come out
Could you just meet me at my house
I can tell you that you’re lovely like you’re ever gonna care
I didn’t notice I was playing with your hair
We swallow seven secrets in our sleep every year
And I’ll be the first of many if you let me rest on here
I’ve got an old projector and a vector of a heart
It’s a good thing we’re both stupid, we would run if we were smart
Are you looking at the train
You treat it like a stupid game
I’ll win cause you’re always too slow
I can only see you from the things I know

Love this. Your voice and the harmonies are gorgeous. Love the title/concept too!!
@richaaaay Feb 2022
Love this. So glad I stumbled onto your music.
@owl Feb 2022
Great stuff! I love your vocals in this, and the lyrics have this wonderful emotional ambiguity, especially that chorus. “Swallow seven secrets” and “an old projector and a vector of a heart” really struck me as well.
@clownresidue Feb 2022
spiders georg.. i SEE you. i absolutely love the harmonies in this one!! i also love “it’s a good thing we’re both stupid, we would run if we were smart”, lyrics that talk about people being dumb with each other are so sweet. such a catchy song!!
@majordanby Feb 2022
Great lyrics and the vocals are really strong. You must have been pleased when you came up with that chorus!! Really catchy fun and clever.
@thelowestbitter Feb 2022
Vocals are great in this, especially the chorus harmonies. Some great lyrics in this, “I’ve got an old projector and a vector of a heart” is a wonderful internal rhyme. Great!
@loveonamixtape Feb 2022
Ahh, super catchy little song and another great set of lyrics. LOVE that "it's a good thing we're both stupid / we would run if we were smart" line, what a great refrain.
@tukayandryan Feb 2022
Great vocals and harmonies. This is a total earworm!!
@leah0k Feb 2022
Gosh I love your voice!
This song is super fun and ominous somehow at the same time.
I think I need to have me another listen here!
@janeg Feb 2022
Earworm! Hope I don’t start singing It’s a Good Thing We’re Both Stupid in a public place.
@negasi Feb 2022
Love the chorus, the idea of swallowing seven secrets, the way projector into vector rhyme sounds, and the vocals are killer :D
@jorh Feb 2022
Fab chrous on this one - the imagery of the seven spiders reminds me a lot of Florence + the machine in the lungs era. I can imagine this having a broody, epic backing but also works fantastic as an acoustic. I think my fave line had to be ‘I’ve got an old projector and a vector of a heart’ - such a clever use of internal rhyme.
@fonte Feb 2022
Ohhh wow. I absolutely love this. Love everything about it. Guitar, your voice, the melody the double track vocals and then the harmonies. Bloody brilliant.
@woolford Feb 2022
Your voice is lovely, but that's not what's great about this! The harmonies and the unison, and the melody is soooo good. I love finding a song like this where I can almost understand but there's so much more that I want to know. What's the train about? What's so stupid about the game? But don't worry- here comes the chorus. I really like the energy of this song.
@corinnelucy Feb 2022
I fucking love this. If you write any lyrics and can't find the music, I'd love to look for it for you.
@vomvorton Feb 2022
Such a great chorus! The melody, harmonies and lyrics are all so good, particularly love those internal rhymes. This is getting stuck in my head for sure.
@pippa Feb 2022
That's gorgeous!
@berni1954 Feb 2022
Oh short, but ever so sweet. This deserves another verse (at least)! Great harmonies, very catchy and there are some wonderful lines in this.
@emkaydeebee Feb 2022
The vocals are gorgeous on this - those harmonies and the balance between the two are perfect. Love the stupid/smart line, and seven secrets is a nice touch.
@timfatchen Feb 2022
"It’s a good thing we’re both stupid, we would run if we were smart" Gold! Catchy definitely. Sometimes I wish I had a voice like this...
@mattwdunn Feb 2022
So melodic and again, what a beautiful voice. I’ve watchlisted you and will be looking forward to what comes next
@dutch1967 Feb 2022
Every time I listen to one of your songs, I know I'm gonna have a hard time not writing the same melody. Too catchy! Leave some for the rest of us... ;)
Loving it!
@adforperu Feb 2022
I thought it was 10 spiders in your lifetime! 7 in a MONTH? I don't care that it's fake, now it's all I can think of waaaaah
Ah man, this is so great, the way the chorus opens up with those perfect harmonies is brilliant. "It’s a good thing we’re both stupid" is such a great line! If I may be so bold as to offer a quick suggestion; the audio file is really quiet compared to everything I've listened to today - do you have Audacity? You can throw it in there, click "amplify" and it'll make it as loud as possible without any clipping :)
@ductapeguy Feb 2022
This is acoustic pop at it's best. The harmonies are wonderful and the chorus is so very earwormy.
@andygetch Feb 2022
A pleasant listen and super-catchy chorus, partly with the doubled vocals and the way they intertwine. I love the alliteration in the opening line and the projector/vector internal rhyme. Well done!
@bootlegger Feb 2022
Love the vocals here. So fun. The melody was unexpected and wonderful. Love the doubled vocals. Really really nice song!
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Might be more down here in Aus hopefully secrets as well. Its a nice interesting lyric and your very pleasant delivery. Its a really nice song.
@aeye Feb 2022
Mmmm spiders. That chorus is fun. Doubling the vocals was a really great idea. It sounds fantastic
@tawny249 Feb 2022
That chorus is pretty cool. I like the way you sing it and the strong guitar rhythm. Nice internal rhymes, too. I'm not usually a big love song person, but this is well written.
