Feb 2022 demo acoustic lofi emo
oh how i always want the opposite season when it's here.
oh how i follow your eyes to the door
oh how i fell in the dark, new moon, new steps that weren't there before
i'm so good at stumbling
oh no don't tell me why you're calling leave a message
oh no it's never good news, who didn't make it?
oh no i'm not falling for that shit
i'd rather keep stumbling
oh beg me to stay in one position for all time
oh beg me chop off your head and put it in the oven
oh beg me not to stare, i can't help it, i can't
and my eyes are stumbling
oh tell me every tragedy, every lost inkling
oh tell me all about you, again and again and again
oh tell me how i'm perfect, i'm not, but thank you anyway
and i'll keep stumbling

It compels you to listen, that’s for sure. The head in the oven confused me a bit, that sure took an unexpected turn. But like a train wreck, you can’t turn away. That’s only meant in a good way!!

So heavy. So airy. So ugly beautiful. Definitely a keper.

This is really cool. I was hooked right away. I love your emo acoustic vibe. It so works. Cool lyrics, works with the overall vibe.

These are some nice chords! You do a great job of building this. Lyrically really impressive as always - I liked the “stumbling eyes” line

This is brilliant! Your voice is powerful and vulnerable, I love this!

Glad I stumbled upon this song. I can relate to that truth-bomb opening line. I like the way that opening verse ends with the new moon and the new steps. More props for eyes that stumble (so many eyes that wander - cool move there). Keep on stumbling!

Really effective use of repetition all the way through here. The very simple guitar and rhythm support the lyrics really well!
