OMG!! i started this and thought "what the hell have i got myself into .
So it began as two seperate ideas which were going to be two seperate songs. But somehow i thought i'd challenge myself to combine them, then i came up with a third section and i was in deep!!!
There's even a coda of sorts so maybe its a mini symphony, operetta thing!! who knows.
I layered rather a lot having started with piano . Never expected guitars to make it on here but they popped up including orchestral and a few other ditties
I fifnished it off by adding some harmonies galore.
The song was inspired by the Ballad thread but i not sure if it qualitifes as ballad. So lyrics wise we make many connections with different people and friends in life, but sometimes you make a connection for whatever reason you know it will simply last forever even through the pain of not actually being together, or even on the other side of the world. So that topic seemed to fit nicely with the music
PIC - is of my youngest niece holly with her 100 year old great granny at granny's b day celebrations
When you said
someone else could be your friend
but the sky was tainted black
could it be the one man trap?
so i confess
there was love aligned with pain
do we suffer
see her eyes and will you bleed more
once we felt truth
how can we release it
would be find out
we were right
this time
through all dark nights
Push little flower and let go
the fountain of love will help you grow
cast off the shackles we all know
spread your wings and we will show
The face of the world is there to see
away from this insanity
nothing to say where will we go
cos it will all come to us i know
nothing to say when we both go
it will all come to us i know
With no more fear
we let us shed our tears
you'l be forever my always
my heart
when far apart
Feel my song

Oh. My. God. I don't know how you did this, but I am so glad that you did. Put The Beatles, Meatloaf, and Queen into a jar, shake vigorously, pour into glass, and enjoy. Standing ovation, and no mistake.
@andrea Feb 2022
This is ripe with drama. Feels like a metal type ballad/saga. Could easily be a metal masterpiece or a Broadway hit. +1 new fan. I love your music!
@elainedimasi Feb 2022
This is epic, as said by others. Love how much space and air there is in the opening section. Then the second section - so righteous in the delivery of every sound. Love the chords that happen at "nothing to say when we both go." And how after that, it gets even bigger! What a tribute to parting but being together "forever," totally feeling that.
@mikedebenham Feb 2022
It sucks you don't get to hang out in Thailand, but it does mean we get enormous epic wonders like this from you. Particularly love that martial bit in the middle, excellent stuff.
@davidtaro Feb 2022
What the hell are you doing, you crazy genius?! A multi-sectioned, FAWM masterpiece here. Oh god I just got to the instrumental/orchestral bit and it’s sensational, it has weather and everything!! Man, I’m so impressed with what you’re managing to do here, so so good!
@audrey Feb 2022
Maybe you should be writing musicals Karlos. Love the change of mood and tempo in the middle, which then moves to a different movement and then an engaging outro. This is great! This is epic! Really enjoyed it. It's like a rock opera.
@judypie Feb 2022
Well this confirms you’re a genius. What a switch up at push little flower! Can’t imagine how you’d stitched all this together and made it so coherent. Ooh third part now, ooh storm clouds are rolling in!
Just sublime dude, I’m in total awe. It sounds totally Karl but also like I nothing I ever heard you do before!
@guatecoop Feb 2022
What a completely different sound than the first song but grabbed me immediately. You’ve got a lot of cool key changes and it works really well. I am astounded how you do those crazy harmonies and it sounds perfect. That change in the middle that leads to the ending….wow! Unexpected to say the least! Rock opera!! Not at all cheesy and I cannot imagine how you pulled that off or even thought of it. So great!!
@engebretsen Feb 2022
WOW!
@acousticmaddie Feb 2022
Great vocals and very beautiful song. Great production
@wolfkier Feb 2022
Such a beautiful sumptuous track, so well done. The marching bridge was my particular fave part. Great stuff!
Thanks for your kind words earlier! Much appreciated.
@majordanby Feb 2022
You are so clever at writing and producing these huge and epic songs. This is crazy good. The ballad bit at the start fools the listener into what the song was going to do so when the choppy guitars come in, it was such a great surprise. Massive and really clever, mate! Wow!
@daveyboy103 Feb 2022
So different from the rocker. Quite a surprise.
You have a great indie voice. well constructed lyrics and melodies.
@jamesstaubes Feb 2022
The vocal harmonies are fantastic. When the drum rolls kick in it's a total surprise. This is impressive. I love that you went for it and went all out. I'm getting some Polyphonic Spree vibes and like Dan mentioned, I hear some Queen and GNR too. Respect.
@timfatchen Feb 2022
Deep and epic in scope and production. The punch of the little flower segment and its unsettling time signature lifts this into another place entirely. and the coda... I have to stamp on myself to stop wishing I'd written this!!! Operatic is right....I'd download if there were a download button....
@bandybum Feb 2022
"Push little flower and let go
the fountain of love will help you grow"
He delivers again :) Epic, masterful. I love it!
@grenzgaengerin Feb 2022
Oh, this song is played very emotionally. The tango is awesome too.And then the epic guitar sounds kick in - wonderful
Your singing and the lyrics touch me deeply. I like that very much.
@berni1954 Feb 2022
It may not have a strong traditional ballad feel, but boy is it a gorgeous piece. Rufus Wainwright would do a brilliant cover of the first section of this.
Then oh wow. It's suddenly becomes an early Genesis prog epic.
You let out all the stops on this one. Chapeau
@ampersandman Feb 2022
Holy moly, what an epic you created here! And such an intricate production, bells and whistles full on. Love the choirs. You can be proud of this.
@musicsongwriter Feb 2022
Gorgeus song, very moving, epic, soulful, complex yet very appealing and memorable. I can imagine it in a modern musical. Brilliant work. Very special.
@angelinapowersuit Feb 2022
What a pleasant surprise at the chorus, love that driving, triumphant changeup. And damn, did I hear thunder roaring in the distance? No more fear. Shed our tears. I think you're onto something :-) I feel it, I really do. Epic. Thank you!
@adforperu Feb 2022
Sounds nothing like him, but feels like a bit of an ode to the dearly departed Meatloaf. Such a beast of a song, but we've come to expect that from you!
@wistah Feb 2022
I love the production, the harmonies, the vocals, and I really love how the song changes in feel and tone about half way through. Beautifully done.!
@natalie Feb 2022
I love the swelling of sound and feeling as you hit the "once we felt truth" section. ... And then, bam! Now, ooo, are we in a David Bowie song? Oh... the third section feels like a long-lost Queen track you've just magically discovered. This is really something, Karl! I think you've outdone even yourself this time. Truly EPIC, my friend! Love it!
@emkaydeebee Feb 2022
Ooh, this is lush (in the true meaning of the word) - a real feast for the ears. Whilst I am reminded of 70s prog rock bands (Yes for eg) it is also uniquely you. The lyrics, and their delivery are sublime. Bravo!
@shortdan Feb 2022
Really interesting chord progressions in this one - some unexpected twists and turns which I always find appealing! Digging the little time signature changes in the second section too. That final section is pretty massive isn't it? Proper stadium rock - don't know whether to liken it to Queen or maybe it's more Guns N Roses? Is it your Bohemian Rhapsody or your November Rain? You decide! Great work again here :)
