A song about a love that was scorned (with both a former band mate and a quick fling with the vocalist.) Think of 80s pop song with 90s guitar and feel.
AN IDEA THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE
(Music/lyrics by David Kav.

And it can be there if you feel it
Don't believe the hype of naysayers
And you may know but you haven't seen it
Where have you been, babe, all my life?
And you may find that you did receive it
All the naught and blame and heckling
And what you see, you know you can not steal it
Still the nature's cruel and bickering
CHORUS:
And who I thought was my brother
And who I thought was my true lover
I found them both with a message signed
"He has an idea that he doesn't have."
"Still love you, buddy...."
And you may think that I didn't see the note
With the fact that you liked that he was defaming me
And you may think that you didn't mean it
But look how far we split in destiny
And you may think that it was a moment
Your picture with your man that you were leaving
And you never said that you loved me

REPEAT CHORUS
BRIDGE:
"I'm gonna write that song, buddy"
I still have yet to hear it - your condescention
So, here I go with what I promised years back
Before the world went bleak with all its tension
I'm glad that we didn't stay together
I'm glad that i would run before maybe
I'm glad that I didn't clamour
I'm glad we didn't have that baby
(And no - I don't mean maybe...)

Great tune and such a lovely arrangement! I love the guitars and the rhythm. Excellent lyrics and so well written, I guess there are not too few that can relate to them... The hook works perfectly. Very nice vocal delivery as well!

@stephubik thank you so much, Steph. Yep. Definitely difficult lessons to learn. And nope. I wrote that song. Haha. Glad you can feel this one! I will listen soon (kinda behind here…)

Oh this is great. Driving rhyhthm, driving guitars, and driven vocal performance. And as for the lyrics... yeah, I have kind of been there (although the story was a little different, and would merit a song on its own... hey, maybe I'll do just that!). Close relationships with bandmates are always a risky business...
