Galoshes
She always wore galoshes
Hated getting her feet wet
People thought her a strange one
A little soft in the head
She shouldve enjoyed getting soaking wet
An animal made for swamp life and yet
They fit right over all her shoes
Matched none of her wet pursuits
Galoshes for a platypus
Like a zebra in a swimming suit.
She shouldve enjoyed getting soaking wet
An animal made for swamp life and yet
She liked the sound they made
She was one of those
And despite the strangeness of her face
It was all about her webbed toes.
She shouldve enjoyed getting soaking wet
An animal made for swamp life and yet
Galoshy sploshy on her feet
Galohy floshy squeaky street
Galoshes keeping her feet dry
A platypus I wonder why.

galoshes is a great word and i like the mash up you do of it in the chorus :)

I remember the rabbit's umbrella (and my song from that) . . . This is great! I love the idea of the song, and what you do rhythmically in the first to lines of the verse (and the last one) . . . and also the slow reveal about the topic of the song.

Jyl I LOVE this!! Instant smiles. The descriptions remind me of childrens book characters and why I loved them so much as a kid. And catchy as always!! Happy FAWM btw :)

Super fun song and great singing! Reminds me of something that The Presidents of the United States of America would make.
I think it would sound really cool with a very simple kick/snare drum beat ala meg white on the background.
