Feb 2022 fuzz
This was supposed to be a test of the Daredevil Pedals Maestro FZ-1S clone, but it turned into an anti-substance abuse song.
You'd Better Listen
You're not a person
You drive a mustang
Ya got some headlights
You know it’s not right
You
You'd better listen
To what he's saying
You'll be sorry
Too many burn outs
Will put your lights out
You had a brain yeah
Now it’s a drain yeah
You
You'd better listen
To what I’m saying
You’ll be sorry
Is it nirvana?
Maybe you wanna
Try something else new
And keep your head too
You
You'd better listen
To what they’re saying
You’ll be sorry

Oh my. That was just warming up and it's over? Noooo! I have therefore had to listen to this again. I trust that you have concluded that the Maestro delivers the goods? That final fizz is *chef's kiss*
"You're not a person / You drive a mustang" is priceless. Over here when I see one on the road, it just looks silly. Particularly the newer models.
@elainedimasi Feb 2022
2/2 so far for songs about "what they are saying" !
@scottdolson Feb 2022
Love how your production is so contemporary and retro at the same time. Have you been ghost producing for Garbage? ...because the production on this reminded me of their latest stuff. Put in a good word for me with Butch! Seriously, this is great and you'll have to let me know how you're making these great sounds. The sad thing about fawm is that it's all fresh off the vine, it doesn't seem to get a chance to ripen. This one just seemed like one that sounded great but could use a chance to ripen more, I guess.. If that makes sense.
@iwilleatyou Feb 2022
I like everything except the guitars. Haha...just kidding. This is Butthole Surfers with a nicer singer. Love it!
@axl Feb 2022
I think the chorus works great. Simple but smart melodic moves. And the guitar breaks are burn outs set in music.
@fuzzy Feb 2022
Super great punk energy here for sure.
I'm loving that progression in the verses.
Toe tappin' goodness all over this track.
Nice ending there.
Excellent work here!
@seemanski Feb 2022
How can I possibly pass up a title like that popping up on my soundboard. Well, I listened and I liked. Getting mudhoney vibes from this and I liked how you ended each line in the choruses.
@nuj4x Feb 2022
I've come across a handful of tunes so far this FAWM that have a very punk rock vibe to them. It's like I left the real world and walked into a punk renaissance and my heart couldn't be happier!
This song is so punk rock! The fuzz, the crunch, the lyrics, the vocal delivery, the short run time, the "don't give a F*&!" feel of it all. I'm in heaven with this song and my jaw is on the floor. I think I'll hit play again! Great job!
@beat Feb 2022
Uuuh that’s bad luck... am sitting in the sub and can’t jump up and go crazy without steppin on someone’s toes... have to replay at home!
Full energy. Luv it. Thx for the music.
@mikeb Feb 2022
That's some hard-drivin' fuzz guitar! A fast rocker with a message too!
@timfatchen Feb 2022
Lyrics are brilliant, especially the switch in each chorus (and well put over in the production). I listen to that guitar and I'm consumed with envy. Again. Love the end collapse.
@andyt13 Feb 2022
Hee hee! You floored it straight off the road into the weeds! So fun!
@sync Feb 2022
Oh man, whata killer riff! Had to see how to play that thing. Original progression from verse to chorus. Original and somewhat dissonant, but still catchy and accessible. Vary hard to do that anymore. Great job! I am really digging the fuzz theme. Looking forward to more of that...
@gm7 Feb 2022
Excellent FUZZ challenge song..., killer solo.
@robynmackenzie Feb 2022
Love these lyrics. This has shades of The Living End and I dig it. Excellent shredding!
@johncrossman Feb 2022
It goes without saying that if I knew someone who ran a demolition derby, I would reach out to them and invite them to contact you about using this song for their event. I'm not intimately familiar with the Pedals Maestro FZ-1S clone, and now I'm not sure I want to be. Like that one scary junior girl in high school, I'm content to crush on this song from afar.
@seanbrennan Feb 2022
Instant Grinderman vibes! That solo is blistering, the fuzz is just right, and the changes are all crisp. Loved listening to this.
