Feb 2022 collaboration
Short and sweet like the apple pie! I always do a collab every year with our senior songwriter . I'm getting on a bit myself but he gives me the inspiration that i can bug you all for many more years to come! Ukulele and harmonica a fav combination (the little fuzz in the background is pouring rain may get rid of it later!
My Favorite words by @srcoops
What’s your very favorite treat
With me, it’s apple pie
Although there’s lots to choose
It’s the apple of my eye
Some folk like ice cream cake
And with me it’s sure OK
It tastes good and cools your mouth
But the pie still wins the day
The combination that it has
With sugar and tart apple
Is just too much for other treats
To win the dessert grapple
Now I like all the apple pie
But my wife’s is still the best
I hope you get a chance someday
To put it to the test

You made me hungry ! Congratullations, @srcoops, the words are a treat in itself !
Now, mixing ukulele with harmonica is also a treat to me (I've been playing harp with a ukulele band for a while), but is like apple pie all ingrdient are good, but some make it specially good, and you did it ! Love the bouncing rythm, and your harp playing is so tasty ! There's something in the blow/draw swift switching, that I can't reach just now.
Well congrats for the whole thing ! It's light and sunny mood for the rest of the day !

Now this here really is a song where lyrics have found a perfect match in the music. Not only are they both sweet and short but also they leave a lovely aftertaste and make me wish I'd had another slice. :)

So sweet, just like the subject matter! Enjoying the cheery instrumentation and dreamy-sounding vocal mixing.

This is great! I love apple pie but now I can sing this song while eating it! Love the whole package from lyric to production! Is that you on Harp and ukulele?
Great tune!!

I wish I'd listened to this yesterday, because it would have kept me from screwing up and forgetting to buy pie for Valentine's Day as I had promised.
Great lyrics (by @srcoops , I assume) and @coolparadiso always has a classic arrangement. Simple is better, as I have to continually remind myself.
Great collaboration, gang!

Oh, nice to see this one in music! A great song, John... happy ukulele day!
@rayboneor Feb 2022
This is a bouncy treat. That's some sweet harmonica, too. My only complaint is that it making me wish I were in the southern hemisphere right now, though I guess this isn't necessarily a summer song. It sure feels like a summer song, though
@kanttila Feb 2022
Nice jolly food song, this arrangement is perfect for it. Nice melody and I really like the lyrics, wholesome and focuses on the small things, like the joy of apple pie. Enjoyable listen!
@srcoops Feb 2022

Very tasty! The harmonica especially. These are fun lyrics and well deserving of the bouncy bluesy tune you have put with it.
