Feb 2022 random collab indie-pop
Big thanks to John for coming up with the lyrics, and so quickly too. It was a lot of fun to make, trying my hand at something a little slower and piano-led (at least for a small part of it before the inevitable guitar comes in).
V1 So tell me why I’m waiting here
Times not my commodity
Streets crumbling by the day
Survival just a luxury
V2 Gains slip away from me
as i try to feel some peace
Issues here i cannot grasp
Just cannot find release
C But you know i want more
And i want it now
And yeah I Want it the easy way
But really i don’t care how
V3 Dead end streets everywhere
Leaves a sour taste
Hiding in the door ways
So many here two faced
V4 Cracks appear on every road
Won't get what i want
Got to fight for everything
I ain’t no debutante
C But you know i want more
And i want it now
And yeah I Want it the easy way
But really i don’t care how
B i need some advice
Or ill never meet my goals
And everything i try and do
Will get shot through with holes
C But you know i want more
And i want it now
And yeah I Want it the easy way
But really i don’t care how
But really i don’t care how

Bitter bitter words. And a bitting bitting guitar solo. Strongs hitting images in the lyrics. That song ain't gentle for sure. But has the good kind of rough.
Funny how it sounds now that Fawm is done and Malm has begun. Fawm was fun and it's hard to let it go all of a sudden. I get I want more. So : #tit4tat1

First of all, I love the delicacy of the music right from the get-go. There's a matching smooth vocal to match. The lyric is solid with fantastic flow. Superb collaboration! #tit4tat3

Glad I scrolled up to listen to this one. @coolparadiso always impresses me with his lyrics (and arrangements!) and it is interesting to see and hear what others do with them.
VERY nice vocal and arrangment on this. Very, very good collaboration!
@davidsnyder Feb 2022
Fantastic lyrics. Powerful song. Kinda reminds me of John Lennon.
@elesimo Feb 2022
Oh wow, what a lovely collab! Love the lyrics, and they sound so lovely! The bass is simple but works really well for the tempo, and the vocals are huge. So good!
@caseewilson Feb 2022
Loving the retro sounding vocals and that melody is solid gold. The arrangement sits together really coherently. Great collaboration!
@crisp1 Feb 2022
Cool lyrics and a very accessible melody, so that ticks two of my boxes right there. Really fine work on the guitar and vocals, too. Great collab, you two!
@sbs2018 Feb 2022
Oooo, those vocals shooting out of the gate - love it! Was just relating to the lyrics when Boom!
@nuj4x Feb 2022
That bassline had me hooked immediately and the vocals kind of came cruising in with some britpop feels. I was immediately jamming (I love britpop) and this gave me all the britpop feels that I was desperately needing!
I I thought the guitar licks at 0:57 was the best surprise. It gave it some soul, some blues, a kind of whimsical tension to accompany the "sour taste" line. Z
Overall, this collaboration with ON POINT! It was everything I didn't know I hoped it would be. Absolutely phenomenal job, great lyrics, great tunes, and some soulful britpop magic!

The growing tension and frustration in the lyrics work well with the arrangement build. Great collab!
@tseaver Feb 2022
Good collab: the sparse (-ish) arrangement leaves room for the lyric to breathe. The lift in the chorus works well.
@wobbiewobbit Feb 2022
love that move in the chorus. i like the lyrics and the setting suits perfectly. lovely feel - really enjoyable listen
@miga Feb 2022
honest and relatable lyrics. I liked that guitar sound!
@lyricslinger Feb 2022

@nahlej381 Feb 2022

@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Well done Andy, it was a raw lyric, i didn't do a all the sing ability checks i usually do. I love what you did with this! Top stuff
@driftwood1 Feb 2022
Great arrangement, sounds classic. Really cool tune and lyric.
@gm7 Feb 2022
VERY NICE ...great piano and guitar work as I would expect from this duo. I do like the vocals which are back in the mix but still have a great power and presence...well done
