Listening to @wacha's track for National Ukulele Day inspired me to write my own!
In terms of content, my wife is a superstar and has been diagnosed with PCOS recently which has been a blow. However, she has gotten back on her feet and is learning and fighting and bossing it anyway. She is amazing and I'm so impressed by her resilience.
V1
It’s in your eyes the way they open when you seem surprised.
Since the first time I laid mine on yours
It’s beautiful to see
Them staring back at me
It’s in your eyes
It’s in your mind you amaze me every time your thoughts unwind
You delight me every time and though
I met you long ago
There’s so much more to know
Within your mind
CHORUS
No matter how many times you blow me away
You keep on outdoing it every day
And though I’ll never know why it’s me you chose
I’m not about to let that loving go
V2
It’s in your laugh the way it always catches me off guard
Exploding with a glow and
It’s so beautiful to see
You smiling back at me
It’s in your laugh
BRIDGE
It’s in the way you keep on standing up when challenge comes around
It’s in the way you never give up even when the chips are down
It’s in the way you maintain grace and stand to fight another round
You wear the crown even when your body’s breaking down
V3
It’s in your touch when you lay your hands on me it means so much
I could lose my head completely
If you only say the word
I’d give you all the world just
For just your touch.
CHORUS
No matter how many times you blow me away
You keep on outdoing it every day
And though I’ll never know why it’s me you chose
I’m not about to let that loving go
How many times can I stop to say
You’re a damn fine woman in every way
I’m never quite sure why it’s me you chose
But I’m not about to let that loving go

This is such a brilliant tribute to your wife! The doubling of the vocal works really well. Grest uke playing. Lovely harmonies. Wonderful sentiment and great delivery.

Oooh I love that slide up to the first chord second rep. Such a vibe! Great vocals and the harmonies are WOW! I like how you structured the lyrics, with all the delightful things in the verses and chorus, and saving the challenges for the bridge. The last line of your bridge is perfection. I could listen to this song all day. Such a beautiful tribute to your wife.

Lovely - I really like a song that unabashedly enumerates someone's good qualities - its a great formula, and almost the archetypal love song template. This does a great job at living up to that. Great melodies. The bridge is what really sat up for me on a one listen; I think it did exactly what it should do. Really classy. I really like @richaaaay 's notion of this being "respectful" that's perfect word. Oh yes, and I forgot, I second @davidtaro 's shout out for the harmonies - they really are the wedding cake toppers.

I hope your wife is happy with this. Such a respectful and loving sentiment to this song. I like how you lean into it a bit at the end. Well done!

Wow - a piece of pop perfection! Nicely done on all counts - great lyrics, superb vocals, and I love the way you slide into the first chord on the uke.

What a beautiful tribute to your wife. Awesome ukelele playing. It sounds amazing!! You play the chords so 'neatly'. Very sweet lyrics too.
@wacha Feb 2022
That was a truly beautiful song! The lyrics are so sweet, your vocals are beautiful and the ukulele playing is so soothing and creates a very chill vibe. This is a solid song, very nice work!

You have lovely soothing vocals! The lyrics are incredibly sweet--my goodness!! What a beautiful song to your wife! Well done! Happy Uke Day!

Firstly, the song just clicks because the sentiment is from the heart and it's so eloquently put. I love the juxtaposition between that slightly more laid back rhythm and slightly more nuanced melody in the verses, versus the driving and insistent chorus. And then the way you build the arrangement out with additional harmonies (which sound amazing btw!) - it really keeps the listener's interest. My favourite part - the harmony you put on 'way you maintain your grace' in the bridge - WOW. Great stuff.

Great emotion! It surely charges. Yeah!
