Cold Shoulder
How many times will I come 'round
to knock on the door of your heart?
You're giving me the cold shoulder
We're another year older
How many times will the sun rise
before I make a new start?
You're giving me the cold shoulder
We're another year older
Put down the phone, get in my car
Open the window, under the stars
I send you my love like a Holy Roller
We're another year older

Smooth . . . I really like the use of harmonies to frame the chorus. The song structure is not common and I like that very much. Nice arrangement and musical delivery. The lyrics do a good job of telling the story of relationship maintenance.

Hi Heather! I'm a bit late getting started but glad I found this. It's got that groove. Looking forward to hearing more!

Very smooth sound, I like the groove and the quiet, sweet vocal.
Another year older, I feel that.
I like the different chord change under the last “year older”, it twists it in a more positive direction.
I like the flow to the words, syncopated at times.

Ooh! the "knock on the door of your heart" is such a powerful image! And I like the "another year older" frame and how that subtly indicates who these people are and something about their relationship. Nice!

Love Sade, so this was right up my alley. I wrote a song called cold shoulder too for this week's challenge, but didn't record it yet. Great job on the harmonies and sound's mesh together really well. Can't wait to hear more
