Ogunquit, Maine: In the indigenous language, means "Beautiful Place by the Sea".
I'm sort of lampooning it here for fun, but I actually love the place.

Verse 1
I drove to Ogunquit
Just for the hell of it
Sat by a fire pit
Mosquitos, I got bit
My swim suit didn’t fit
So I just had to sit
Out on the sandy spit
Way down in Ogunquit
Chorus
Ogunquit, beautiful place by the sea
Ogunquit, beautiful memories
Verse 2
I walked the Marginal Way
It was the month of May
The sky was cold and gray
On a rainy day
The icy ocean spay
Put on a fine display
The tourists didn’t stay
Much to their great dismay
Repeat Chorus

Gotta love Maine. You’ve got a way with words and you write fun and catchy songs.

I love place name songs, especially when I don't know the place. And the spilling rhymes feel like the waves rolling in and out.
The Marginal Way feels like it could be a whole song of it's own too...

Where the rhymes don't quit
Just for the hell of it ;)
I do miss a fire pit since I moved a year and a half ago.
