Feb 2022 acapella
srcoops: We have been married for 23,538 days, Wow!
metalfoot: @kellyk and I haven't quite been married as long (more like 6400ish days) but she's also foremost in my mind. I went for an interesting chord structure on this one, got lost in it, and found my way back out by a different road. It probably needs work in spots still but I'm proud how it turned out.

1 amazing lyric - srcoops
Foremost in My Mind
With all that’s going on
Keeping straight is hard I find
But one thing is always there
You are foremost in my mind
In the midst of madness
You come shining through
Confusion tries to reign
But number one is always you
I never let this leave me
I’m a very lucky man
I spend my time with you
Every moment that I can
It has been a long long time
Since you walked down that aisle
I will never lose the memory
Of your sweet outstanding smile
It is so important
That in you I find
One so very perfect
You are foremost in my mind

Like the unique creativity of this song. Such a upbeat and sweet song. Barbar shop arrangement sounds great, Nice work.

Really neat production! I think the last verse comes across most effectively and wow, what an ambitious undertaking, way to go!
@squeakmouse73 Feb 2022
That is not an easy task, to sing a capella without going off key. Enjoyable song.
@zecoop Feb 2022
Inspirational, as always, having the great example of my parents. Mrs ZeCoop and I are (as of today) currently at 11,512 days, with many more to go. I really love the doo-wop acapella and also love all those key changes. This song is a journey, just like a marriage, but is also a celebration. Wonderfully done in both word and music.

I loved this song by Srcoops and Metalfeet! :)

A love like this is very hard to find these days (so many have said). This is a testament to love that endures all things and is girded and fueled by something more than in the moment ideas and other notions. I read dedication, patience, love, long-suffering, endearment...and much more. Alex rendered the lyrics beautifully. Nice work, gents.
@fearlessflight2014 Feb 2022
Wow this sounds like real classic from the 50's with some shades of Billy Joel and the Beach boys. Love it!
@emkaydeebee Feb 2022
Oh Alex, I always love it when you go falsetto - this is brilliant, and all those vocal layers under it! I can tell you had fun with this, I bet it was hard to know when to stop adding in... you nailed it though. Love this.
Lyrics are brilliant Mr Cooperider Sir!
@cleanshoes Feb 2022
I always enjoy your forays into a capella! The interesting chord structure is definitely a strength on this one.
@bachelorb Feb 2022
I read these lyrics the other day and loved em. I wasn’t sure about the music at first because I was expecting a slow melodic love song.....but after listening a couple of times.... it’s genius!!!
Great job putting the feel of this song back some 64 years to day 1 of 23538..... Bravo!!!
@srcoops Feb 2022
It's always nice to work with you. Thanks for doing the song.
@spirulence Feb 2022
Oh man is this great! You have an amazing range for this kind of work! The chords sound very natural doo-wapped but their unusualness only adds to it
@seanbrennan Feb 2022
I definitely got that 50s, rose-tinted glow and general feelings of love from this - outstandingly done, and you SHOULD feel proud! Doo-wop leads are just as hard to feel as to execute technically, and this definitely has soul.
The lyrics are superb as well. I'm still more than a year from my own wedding... but I may have to keep this song close to heart. Thank you both.

Looking forward to this collaboration! Will it play up the understatement of "foremost"? Will it be all verses? Time will tell. Nice poetry.
@metalfoot Feb 2022
Wow. Can I snag this lyric? It is so wonderful.
