Hmmmm, another one
Has it really been a year since we met?
It only seems like yesterday
I thought I was over you, but maybe not yet
Imagination gets carried away
Re-trace the past, discovering anew
All the things we said, what we really meant
Something dark inside me grew
The mind games and the constant torment
Has it really been a year?
So how have you been, now you’re out on your own?
Was it everything you ever wanted?
Have you blocked me from your mobile phone?
Do you feel you’re being haunted?
Has it really been a year?
And has it really been a calendar year?
Are you over your commitment fears?
Take it from me, we don’t want to go back
I’m glad your life is on a different track now
Has it really been a year?

Oh man, this song hit home for me in a way I’m not entirely sure how to articulate. There’s such a relatable sense of melancholy and acceptance that comes through not just in your vocal performance, but in the turns of phrase, all without resorting to melodrama or hyperbole. The guitar is just present enough to support the vocals well without being overpowering, and the full package is just. Oof. Extremely good work!

Solid one-take and really nice vocals. Love the reverb on the guitar too. Solid lyric and conveys a lot but builds really well of the motif. Great stuff!

great song, lyrics are meaty and your vocal is giving shades of Thom Yorke, enjoyed that!
