Feb 2022 waltz piano classical romantic melancholy
When all else fails me, it's piano waltzes or 12-bar blues and it's too late at night for the latter.

What a wonderfully warm and gentle piece of art. Makes me want to really be able to play this beautiful instrument, like you do.
@chipwithrow Mar 2022
Gorgeously, achingly bittersweet. Made me want to close my eyes not to drift off, but to appreciate it more deeply.
@kiffa Mar 2022
I'm not great at speaking the language and terminology of music, but I know when something is dead gorgeous, and that's what this is. Well done, Tim.

This was so lovely and gentle. What a treat to listen to!
@tamsnumber4 Feb 2022
My heart and mind thanks you and so does my anxiety...I needed to just close my eyes and not see the V-day pink and just listen to this loveliness, such beautiful playing, I couldn't appreciate it more than I do...thank you.
@pippa Feb 2022
Lovely! Thanks.
@jeustan Feb 2022
Your playing is fluid, the chords are lush and interesting, the melody is graceful and lyrical, and it all feels very whole to me. Very rich music, very much enjoyed.
@elesimo Feb 2022
I love this. So lovely, so beautiful.
@fearlessflight2014 Feb 2022
This is some more Fatchen magic! I love your piano pieces, so evocative and dreamy and with some unusual twists in the form.
@audrey Feb 2022
Very sad, very lovely. I enjoyed this. Thank you!
@tukayandryan Feb 2022
This is so beautiful. You play with such emotion and it transports me to a place of serenity. Love it.
@waltermosch Feb 2022
Beautiful!
@musicsongwriter Feb 2022
Always enjoy listening to your waltzes Tim. Beautiful music and playing. Sounds sad, melancholic, nostalgic and romantic.
@splittybooms Feb 2022
Unfortunately, I find myself kinda saying the same things about every piano-only piece I listen to.
But...honestly its how I feel and no point in saying anything other than what I feel, right?
So yeah, this is definitely somber, melancholy, but also has some hope in there. Waltzes always make me a bit sad. I dunno why. This makes me think of loss. Specifically someone who used to be able to do things - maybe a dancer, wood-worker, athelte...someone who used dexterity in some way to make a living...and now they are losing those abilities.
Piano stuff makes my imagination really work lol
Anyway, that very beginning bit actually reminds me of a Donny Hathaway song that I can't place right now; which is awesome.
Beautiful tone out of that Garritan Personal Orchestra, its really lovely.
@anthonykapfer666 Feb 2022
beautiful piece of music. i love this. great piano playing.
@suburbanfolk Feb 2022
You have a fantastic feel on the piano!
@clioem Feb 2022
Pretty and moody piece. I like the fact that you use the lower middle range in such an effective way. I could see this in a dramatic anime film.
@sherrylynnlee Feb 2022
Beautiful piece!
@elainedimasi Feb 2022
If only we could all learn from you how to play this softly and with this much fullness, and maintain that restraint for a whole piece, using just that occasional flicker of major-key light to be the fleeting summit. Like: Sic transit, but in a good way.
@theflyingace Feb 2022
@timfatchen I love the way your piano recording and song sounds.
@jtsteam Feb 2022
This is a lovely piece. I'm listening late at night and it's a perfect fit.
@jorh Feb 2022
This is gorgeous, I just slipped away and got lost in the music for a few minutes without a care in the world. The piano is my fave, and when it’s played this beautifully it reminds me why, bravo.
@auditasum Feb 2022
This floats along so peacefully. ^_^
@cabinmonster Feb 2022
That's one moving piece of music. When it ended I had to shake myself back to reality. There's an air of sadness to it. It's quite deep and captivating. Lovely.
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Yes time of day dictates even the old grab back sometimes! Sounds more like later night music to me, although its darned nice sitting here in the morning listening! Very pleasant!
@arthurrossi Feb 2022
This is truly beautiful, Tim. It is amazing how you manage to convey such intense emotions with your music, even completely without words... It is the melancholy that prevails here for me, a gorgeous start...
@lexabear Feb 2022
Beautiful piece. My head-cannon music video features a chaise lounge with artfully folded throw, on a porch overlooking a forest under twinkling stars.
PS: Thanks for the heads-up on including name in filenames. Will do from now on.
@toms Feb 2022
That is absolute gorgeous, Tim.
@readwrite Feb 2022
Ah, lovely. You set up a such a nice balance between melancholy and a more upbeat sense, keeping me interested all the way through with little details and well-felt shifts of harmony and melody.
@max Feb 2022
Sit back, eyes closed, absorbing the beauty of this one. Nice!
@metalfoot Feb 2022
Very pretty, with an aching and longing sadly sobbing between the keys.
@dragondreams Feb 2022
My first downloaded tune of 2022!
This is absolutely lovely, Tim. :-)
