@mosley set up this challenge to use reverb as an instrument. https://fawm.org/forums/topic/12262/
So, once again, the Moeck Rottenburgh tenor gets pressed into service. Reverb is down to Stone Voices Ambient Reverb VST and Valhalla Space Modulator VST.

Wonderful! Very beautiful and relaxing.
@davidbreslin101 Feb 2022
Oh, this is good! Kind of an Aeolian harp effect, only with woodwinds. I love the way riffs gradually emerge from the single "plucked" recorder notes.
@pippa Feb 2022
beautifully done! I love that deep rich satisfying last note, and its tail.
@cts Feb 2022
How can one NOT relax while hearing this? Lovin' this instrumentation...wait...did I just hear a nod to Brass Construction?
...I do believe I did! (at the 2:11). Intentional or not, I like it! Brilliant!
@standup Feb 2022
Lovely, I like how you're leaving enough space for the reverb to be the instrument. Nice phrasing on the recorder. Great job of featuring the sound of the reverb.
I love how the recording needed about 50 seconds for the reverb to decay.
@heliosonorous Feb 2022
Very soft and mysterious, full of waiting for things to come.
@seemanski Feb 2022
Way to control that reverberation, just enough notes to give it going and not too much it becomes overpowering. I really liked the tones you have gotten too.
@airbagtester Feb 2022
Wow I was trying to imagine some ways to maximize the reverb as the instrument and minimize the instrument itself, and this seems like exactly that... it's like you are just breathing enough to propel a skittery leaf across a table, but the leaf is making the whole table vibrate. And then at 3:00 there's a note that sounds like a train whistle by comparison. Very beautifully and dynamically played.
@gm7 Feb 2022
Wow. Great opening. Like a scene from a movie... a warm wind blowing over a field of prairie grass . Restful!
@ballyhoot Feb 2022
Very soothing and meditative. I’m just now waking up but this is making me contemplate going back to sleep. Not in a bad way . Not = boring. Just very soothing. Really enjoyed listening to it.
@audrey Feb 2022
Oooo! This is so mysterious! It sounds a bit like a South American pan flute with those lovely echoey tones. This would work well in a movie scene where the camera is following the path of an explorer through remote woods. The movie The Mission comes to mind. Beautiful piece Paul!
@popmythology Feb 2022
This is really beautiful. I kept thinking "sci-fi movie soundtrack" the whole time. It put me into a pleasant, slightly altered state of consciousness in which wondrous things seem possible. My favorite state to be in. :)
@judypie Feb 2022
Ooooh, lots of airrrr in this. Floaty AF, like I’m just milking around in zero gravity and every now and then I’ll gently rebound off something. Though if I’m in zero gravity, there isn’t any air, is there? Wait, what is air..?
JUST SOME OF MY PONDERINGS THERE WHILST ENJOYING YOUR PIECE DD
@mosley Feb 2022
Mmmmm delicious reverb! I dig the space this one creates with the synth. The nice sparse synth playing lets the space breath and the notes convey a hopeful curiosity, like a creature discovering a sliver of sunlight hidden deep in a cave
@grenzgaengerin Feb 2022
Very meditative. I really like the reverb here and it fits great.
@aeye Feb 2022
That reverb is something to behold. I love a nice long reverb like that. It really brings something magical to a track.
@lcad Feb 2022
Nice and trippy, could definitely hear this in a yoga studio. Would not have believed that was a recorder, naturally I assumed recorders needed to sound like audio torture played by children, thanks for teaching me something new :) sounded great!
@beat Feb 2022
Ambient chair-yoga haha.
Well yer way busy and fast.
Are you up to 28 tracks, or is it rather 70 (5 every two days)?
And, jap. Sehr schön. The room as an instrument. I like this idea.
@blindkiwi Feb 2022
Very trippy Mr D. That fade out is still going in my head.
