So, the random movie I got in the movie title challenge was SFW. Of course, the first thing I thought of was "safe for work", but that didn't inspire me.
Today being the New Moon and Imbolc, it seemed appropriate to go with starlight for S, and W should obviously be waltz, so I imagined a fairy dancing in the starlight, and this is what I got.
I'm playing one of my diatonic autoharps here.

This sounds magical, really nice flow. I love the melody throughout.

Autoharp! I see my classic folk comments from the first tune I listened to were on point :)
Great open feeling to this one, though the rhythm has a certain stateliness to it that suggests straight backed dancers in a ballroom. Despite that, it also shares a kinship with Coconut Grove, at least to me, and I've only ever heard David Lee Roth's cover. So that's in the mix as well- ocean breezes, victorian finery and Diamond Dave as you've never seen him before. What an image! I realize a certain amount of this is me, but there is a kind of breeziness flowing through as well. Very much enjoyed, and the only autoharp tune I heard this year!

Very cool! I can see the fairies waltzing! It’s so pristine! Really gorgeous. I’m jealous, I want an auto harp! Very well arranged this track just dances into one’s soul
@danvaillancourt Mar 2022
First autoharp that I've heard on FAWM this year! I like that this is "one of your autoharps." Soothing waltz and in a song like this it is easy to hear how harp-like the auto harp is. Almost reminds me of a lullaby music box. Nice!
@unpronounceable Mar 2022
I like the soothing rhythm of your song. I guess that's what a waltz is, right? :p. I could hear the classic basslines, and I've never heard that executed via autoharp before. I like that you were imagining a fairy dancing. This is a sweet comforting piece.
#tit4tat (I don't know if I'm supposed to tag the reciprocation?)

I love an autoharp, it was the first instrument I learned on. I have found recording one difficult because I get the clicking across the strings, but this sounded lovely, I think it was the perfect interpretation of the challenge!
@frank Feb 2022
Very relaxing and carefree! Love it!
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
wow thats good playing! i can see that fairy - should i clap! very nice
@dock Feb 2022
Great autoharp playing! And yea for transmuting the challenge into something so beautiful.
@writeandwrong Feb 2022
Aww, nice, creative way to twist the movie challenge to work for you! I love the spriteful wispiness through this! Light and happy, fun!
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
This is lovely, and fitting tribute to Bridget. Imbolc blessings to you!
@kristi Feb 2022
I like the title. And the music is perfectly suitable to it. The song has a whimsical feel to it, delicate and happy. Lovely.
@oswlek Feb 2022
This is beautiful. The layering of strings is gorgeous, the notes played, the way they are played, the instruments chosen - it's all lovely. The dissonant notes are especially charming. You could have easily stayed diatonic and it would have been fine, even very good. But venturing beyond those safe waters adds magic that wouldn't have been there otherwise.
@lenigmusx1 Feb 2022
Wow, very interesting… I’m not exactly sure what I’m hearing lol. It sounds like a 12 string with a Capo on the 7th or 8th fret but it could be a pitch altered acoustic. It is a very cool texture and definitely captures what you were going for. Cool
@robynmackenzie Feb 2022
Well this is just gorgeous. I love the chords you use, quite unexpected and ethereal. You absolutely captured what you were going for.
@moonraccoon Feb 2022
Calm and very lovely.
@sheilerk Feb 2022
I love this. It's been a few years since I've been able to attend the Faerieworlds festival, but that whole magical musical world is my happy place. This is really lovely, and kinda takes me home. <3
@summerrussell Feb 2022
I can hear the bluebells ringing! I think the fae must have their own particular idea of elegance, and I bet it sounds like this. Picturing an otherworldly formal ball.
@tawny249 Feb 2022
This is very pretty. Definitely a dancing tune, and I enjoyed how it kept changing just slightly throughout the whole piece. Autoharp seems appropriate for something unearthly and maybe a bit mischievous. :)
@mahtowin Feb 2022
Blessed Imbolc to you!
Brigid had inspired you pretty well … I can see the fairies dancing in moonlight …
@jorh Feb 2022
Great use of the prompt - starlight fairy waltz is definitely more inspiring than safe for work. Think you’ve done a great job of capturing this concept in the music - it feel mystical and magical with the harp. Like how the speed chops and changes too to take us on a journey
@mystiquemuse Feb 2022
There’s a floating melody that follows through the rhythm.
@readwrite Feb 2022
A sweet and lovely waltz, with an engaging development of harmony keeping me curious all through.
@n24 Feb 2022
Very much agree with the other comments! It’s very beautiful but with a real undertone of something mysterious and perhaps dangerous underneath. Feels like it would be an awe inspiring sight.
@bigmood Feb 2022
Ooo! The sound of the auto harp is awesome on this, it feels whimsical and kind of eery.
@theodamus Feb 2022
This is chaotic in the magical sense! The autoharp sound is ethereal and I love how the motif repeats but gets slightly more unwound, or wound up, as it goes - i can picture the beautiful and slightly dangerous dance
