Movie Title Challenge
It came from the Orient under winter snows
What evil sorcerer called it forth? no one knows.
Some say it was Bat, some say Pangolin
Some blame the scientists who tried their best to rein it in
It came like a whirlwind, on wings of steel,
To slay our cities, choking them to a standstill.
It’s coming to get you, there’s no place to hide
It will get your friends, enemies and allies
Oh, oh, old or young, the quiet or loud
It doesn’t care if you’re shy or proud.
I’m coming to get you!
It’s coming to get you, and you won’t know where
it could be that one, or this one, or just in the air
Charlatan exorcists with their horse meds and prayers
are only working to help the grim slayer
I’m coming to get you!

great story line love it ;)

Great storytelling in this song. I like how you switch it up to bring in more intensity. Good ending too. Great take on the movie title challenge.

Family members just tested positive yesterday. We have basically been in isolation for 2 years because we are in that "underlying health issues" group. I find the mood here entirely appropriate.
@dragondreams Feb 2022
This is menacing and gentle at the same time. I really like the arrangement and orchestration underpinning the vocals. And the change-up to the more rock feel was excellent.
@colgoo Feb 2022
You really put a lot of creativity into the way you wrote and arranged this song. Nice job!

I do love drama in music, and this has lots. Great ominous opening followed by a very catchy driving beat with great melodies throughout. Very entertaining and a great take on the movie title challenge.
@elesimo Feb 2022
Love how ominous and majestic this starts, and suddenly guitars! Great take on the challenge, I really like it!
@writeandwrong Feb 2022
A bit of haunting, a bit of horror, and a bit of playful Ghostbustery feeling in the "It's coming to get you" lol It's a bit of many types of haunts and horrors. Fun listen! Excellent work on the challenge!!
@tuesdaygray Feb 2022
Epic! Loved the different layers. The chord progression at the start was really cool and the change into the second verse was done so well!
@seemanski Feb 2022
The side chained compression is interesting on your guitars. I'm guessing it is there for the horns, seems to fit that rhythm. You vocals remind me of David Byrne, really liked the guitars when they kick in, they have a really nice groove. Great take on the challenge.
@mctown Feb 2022
Interesting story. Enjoyed it.

(The conjuring) What an amazing orchestration, very cool! So many unexpected changes and I especially loved the beginning and ending. By the way, thanks for stopping by to listen, I think I fixed the problem and you should be able to hear the song (just simple voice and uke, though).
@tseaver Feb 2022
Nice write. The grim relentlessness of the villain is all too telling. Love the heaviness of the orchestral bits, growing past the guitar like a virus. The abrupt shift in gears grabs the ear and the imagination both.
@nadine Feb 2022
What a cool idea to work with a brass arrangement and end with a 70s rock song. I wanna hear that in a movie!
@zeekle1998 Feb 2022
So cool. The initial cinematic vibe and then the rock. That guitar hook is still in my head. Great work
@mattoxic Feb 2022
Oh this is awesome. The change is masterful. The 'coming to get you' is straight out of a 70s movie soundtrack.
Very good indeed.
@shutyatrap Feb 2022
Nice stuff. Nicely layered and the progression in the change is great. Gives it a great original feel. All the best in your challenge.
@phenola Feb 2022
Haha, I did not see that 70s funk break coming.
@blainev83 Feb 2022
Great lyrics. Delightfully melancholy.
