Feb 2022 beatles hip-hop kanye worship
A while back (2015) some fans of Kanye West thought that he was giving a lucky break to a musician named Paul Mc Cartney. I didn't hear about this until a few weeks ago but I was inspired to write this parody. Paul with snark.
I think that's one of the characters from Sesame Street playing piano in the background...
Hey Dude, I've been around
You have heard me
You didn't even know it was me.
Remember next time to look up my name
Not to put you to shame
But you can do better.
Hey Dude, I've been around
Kanye isn't the be all and end all of pop
Remember there's music before hip-hop
So you should stop and next time do better
And any time you hear my name
Hey Dude, refrain
From making your clueless observations
Well you should know I'm not a fool
I play it cool
I'm not some newest greatest sensation
Hey Dude, please get a clue
Listen to music from the 20th Century
Remember to let it into your heart'
And then you'll start (to see)
The music was better, better, better...
Na, na, na, Na, na ,na na, Na, na, na,na, Hey Dude (3x)

That's great, I think everyone of a certain age had these thoughts.

This was great. I got a really good laugh. I still remember when this happened and how ridiculous that whole thing was.

nice write and dig at Kanye, whoever that is
@markg Feb 2022
Too funny!

Oh. Oh oh oh. I eagerly await the demo for this, as someone who has admittedly has had a chip on his shoulder since Kanye lazily sampled a quarter of a Daft Punk hook, slowed it down, and thought all he needed to do to complete the backing track was add some drums.

I like this, very clever. I could hear Paul singing it ha ha.
