This is just a first quicky that came to me recently. just wanted to record and post one fast to see if all the gear still works. Its just another of my songs appreciating my winter home in the west.
She said we got a problem, I call it opportunity
She said its an issue, only for you, not me
She said we’re never gonna make it, I said we can only try
We’re gonna crash and burn, but before that we will fly
She said the odds are against us, about 100 to 1
said our chance of survival... are slim and none
I said i hear just what youre saying...it means we gotta chance
So Im gonna forge ahead now, and i will advance
If we go back to the house on Black mountain
Where the stars will always shine
And the moons as bright as neon sign
And it always feel so right
The problems seems to dissipate, whenever we get up here
Issues seem to lose their weight, no darkness and no fear
Something in the stillness of the desert night,
And the cold light of early dawn
I never doubted for a minute babe
We were gonna move it along

I dig it! The idea of the angst disappearing when you make it to the mountain is great. The idea that "odds are 100 to 1" - "yeah, but not 0" is great.
Great start to FAWM!

Hey tspoon, this is a great way to kick off FAWM. This song drew me in immediately with the catchy guitar intro and I was struck with how appealing and musical the vocal delivery is. Your voices sounds great as it propels through the song with those wonderful lyrics.

I want to go to Black Mountain. Cool song about escape and gaining a new perspective. The guitar and your voice come together for some nice hooks. It’s pretty catchy, especially after a few listens. Great lyrics too. At first I thought it was much darker than it is…but it’s a pretty positive song. Great start to FAWM.

Apart from having a righteous and confident folk rock rhythm, I love the dry humor laced in the narrator's optimism. This is a fantastic start! Well done.
P.S. Can I Airbnb this particular house?
