Wake up sleepily next to you
I blink and rub my eyes a few times
I ask, "Hey, what time is it?"
You say, "It's 8:45."
Drag myself from out of the beds embrace
Try to whip up some coffee based drink
You amble out to the kitchen
We take out mugs outside to sit and listen
After all we've been through
I finally made it to you
I could sit for hours staring into your light brown eyes
After the pain and fear
We finally made it here
You could sit for hours staring into my bright blue eyes
I kiss you lightly and grab the keys
I need to clean out my car one of these days
The 9-5 day grows longer
Thinking how we met my mind starts to wander
I go back to the first time you came to see me
Our 2 hour hike left me dreamily dazed
Told myself that I couldn't or shouldn't
But all my deeper feelings withstood it
After all we've been through
I finally made it to you
I could sit for hours staring into your light brown eyes
After the pain and fear
We finally made it here
You could sit for hours staring into my bright blue eyes
With your light brown eyes
Your light brown eyes
Your light brown eyes
mmmmm
Your light brown eyes

Very nice. I love "bed's embrace" - and how you rhyme the first line of each section with the next to last word in the next line and let the last word start the next measure.
Shoot me a Google doc if you want more feedback - you know where to find me :)

you have a cool voice. I like the way the song captures the details of ordinary days and the sweetness of having someone to share them with

This has some really awesome melodic hooks! I really like the combination of the vocally powerful pop melodies with lyrics that have more of a slice of life folk punk vibe. Stoked to hear more :)
