After a breakup, I wanted to process the emotions in music. But whenever I wanted to play the song I had to cry. I've been able to finish the song in mid-January. Since a week I fight my way through Cakewalk to present it properly. I haven't found fade in and out yet...
verse1: It's autumn in my life, summer is over for me. So many lifeoptions I can't live anymore, the head wants it, but it doesn't matter to the body. My eyes are tired, my muscles are sluggish, inside I feel it pulling and cracking inside me. Then, how will I feel in winter? The sleep brought no relaxation.
Corus: It's autumn and the fruits are harvested, the leaves are changing color and the wind is cool. The days go by quickly, it pulls me inwards, I pay attention to my feelings. I calm down and listen to my heart.
verse2: A warm twilight shines for a long time, I watch flocks of birds. I see all the colors of the sky, the soil is black/empty and fallow. Cobwebs everywhere dew hangs shiny heavy in it, the mist rises from the earth, a hedgehog rustles through the sea of leaves.
corus: It's autumn and the fruits are harvested...
verse3: Our love came to an end, (you) stormed away I stayed alone. Where your smile warmed (me) like summer, now there will be only a memory. Winter brings ice-cold clarity, in the dark a new plan matures. In spring I stretch my limbs and see what I can still live.

What a lovely piece of music! I was so thankful for the translation of the lyrics as I do not speak German. The rhythms, melody, and lyrics are all so beautiful. It is full of feeling, I can see why it was hard to get through it. I had a song like that this year, too called Goodbye. Breakups are difficult, but we can heal and move forward.

Musikalisch sehr Folky.

I love the rhythms in this song. Lovely words too

I love this. Very evocative, poetic and unique. Wonderful.

You have such a distinctive sound. Vivid lyrics, showing the struggle and pain but fighting through to a new spring. I really like the descending melody on the ngoni between verses.

Thanks for your kind words on "Land of the Brave and the Free" What is the Ngoni? I like the sound and sympathize that song is a great healing power

Nice write! The detailed visual imagery of the season makes the metaphor with the ended relationship poignant.

You’re a percussion queen! The lyrics are poetic, your voice is lovely, and the stringed folk instrument is so pleasing to the ears.
@fuzzy Feb 2022
Such interesting lyrics; so dense with imagery.
I'm not sure what instrument you're playing, but it works really well with that percussion and your voice.
I'm a big fan if Medieval music, so I'm really enjoying this a lot.
Great work!

I love this style and your deep expression of the feelings. I can relate to them very well. Just the right amount of brittle cold percussion with the warm instrument and voice.

In jeder Hinsicht.

Ergreifender Einstieg!
