Nothing to say really other than it's sad when we lose our direction.
I used to write you letters
I used to sing you songs
I made you feel better
Even when you felt wrong.
I used to buy you trinkets
Little things to make you smile.
I know that I don't do that now,
Or I haven't for a while.
I can't be that man anymore.
I just can't that man anymore...I'm gone.
I know that I'll get better,
If I'm allowed a little more time.
I'll send you another letter
And try to change your mind.
I can't be that man anymore
I can't be him anymore.

I really like the tension between the absolute "I can't be that man anymore" and the sliver of possibility in "I'll send you another letter"
Your lines and the way you sing them make me inhabit a place of feeling a kind of existential despair while still holding onto a glimpse of a place I might like to find my way back to. And the whistling in the dark, seals the deal. It feels like the first step to figuring out where to go from here, is this way of admitting where the singer is. Thanks for writing it and singing it and posting it.

Love your storytelling on this one, beautifully sung and you always know how to handle a song, gentle or with grit, always get the tone right, cool!

Just love your lyrics, they really capture a feeling. And yeah, blown away by whistling :)

Beautifully written and performed!

A sweet, sorrowful vibe to this one. If it was me, a touch of reverb would make this something to really get lost in. Always appreciate a whistle too!

Whistling!!!! What??? You’ve changed. A sad and complicated song done in a beautiful and uncomplicated way. Love this!

This is haunting and beautiful with how it’s written and performed. Even with the sadness of the lyrics there’s a solemn beauty to it all

Nice write! The whistling is a nice way to add a break.
One meta-note: if you post your lyrics, you'll likely get more thoughtful / interesting comments, as people process them "in parallel" with listening.
