? Not really sure where this one came from? Kinda came out halfway through writing the other one. That's it really.
Hourglass (no way to die)
Can’t you see
This ain’t no dress rehearsal
You and me
Cant wait for second chances
To get it right
We’re living on
Borrowed time
No matter what the score
You can’t rewrite
The past already happened
Ain’t no historian
Got no DeLorean
It’s no way to die
Watching the hourglass
Spilling time
Counting grains of sand
Pass you by
Holding out for livings
no way to die
Just sittin by
hangin on for something better
Than this life
What’s wrong with starting this one
Can’t we try to live
Like we just don’t give
Two ships pass by
Missing one another
In the night
Searching for the treasure
opposite directions
Making no connection
Do you need this much protection….
It’s no way to die
Watching the hourglass
Spilling time
Counting grains of sand
Falling by
Holding out for livings
No way to die
Waiting for tomorrows
No way to die
Holding out for somethings
No way to die
Holding on to nothing
No way to die
Holding on for dear life
No way to die

I clicked on this because I have a song named Hourglass this year too! The DeLorean rhyme is sooo good. The harmonies and doubled vocals were really nice. And the message is great. I like how the song starts kinda somber and then it gets more upbeat at the end when you’re conveying the message very directly.

Thanks @saulius, the idea for mixtape was already stirring, had to stop the writing process to get this one down. You are prob right about the ‘holding back’, it’s a habit. I’ll try and let it out a bit more.

This just came to you today, after Mixtape? Wow. I love it when that happens. This is a great piece! In a totally different topic. Re your voice, I'm really curious to hear your upper register. I love your tone, but something tells me you're holding back a lot of range and power.
