Feb 2022 pop jaunty collaboration guitar and vocals
Another fine set of lyrics by Srcoops, which paint a lovely picture in a short time.
I doubt if you were ever told
What it means to be real old
Things that are great fun for you
Are the things we used to do
You paint toes with shiny gold
We’re busy buying Dr. Scholls
You’re at the gym working out
We’re treated for the gout
You see a girl, oh what a sight
We ask if she can drive at night
Your parties go until real late
Ours break up just after eight
It’s not great fun to be so old
And our ills are often told
But regardless of this jive
We’re still real glad to be alive

I really like the nice gentle music this song is set in and with such a lovely melody. Some creative rhymes here too, like "gold" and "Dr. Scholls" Ha ha. I enjoyed this one. Well done both!

This is a really fun take on aging. I like the way the bouncy music reinforces the message of the last line.

What a great rendition of the lyrics! I think this one is my favorite so far, great job!

Some great lines in here, "you're at the gym working out, we're treated for the gout" tickled me especially. I loved how the energy picked up towards the end with the little guitar solo and the change up in the last verse, Great job both

I'm on my way towards "old". The lyric made me laugh. The melody was fun and I enjoyed the variety in the song. You're my first collab listen! Well done.
