This is my first attempt at writing a 12 Bar Blues. No Intro/No Outro/No Solo.
Stray dog, stray dog in the grocery line, looking for a home.
Stray Dog, Stray Dog you don't look so fine
Stray Dog, doggy needs a bone
Doggy needs a home.
The man said come on home with me
He said man, I don't want a leash
He said doggy just wait and see
Stray Dog says man, I'm just looking for some peace.
He's said: sad little doggy, Forever he will roam.
Lost and alone you stray
Doggy needs to atone
Stray doggy needs a home.
Stray doggy went to a shaman
asked, hey dude spare me a rhyme
Doggy said don't be an elf on a shelf
Man says you look a little foggy, doggy
Little Doggy strolled back to the pound
Looking way low down.
Tail between his legs
He said they treat me just like a hound
Stray dog, stray dog, little doggy needs a home.
Stray dog, stray do, stray dog.

Nice write. Good imagery of the poor pooch, down on his luck. Appropriate style of music for the lyrics, too.

The blues vibe is perfect for a down-on-his-luck dog.

Ha, cool to hear the dog's perspective. I like the way things get weird as they go along. Dog shaman!

Good to see a stray dog find a welcome home here!

I like your delivery on this and the bluesy guitar. Thanks for posting and have a great FAWM
