After reading 3 sci fi novels that left me frustrated and robbed me of the reading mood, a thought came up that I'd try to write one of my own, focusing about omnipotence (a topic I always enjoy thinking about), and I started with the words "You can be what you want, you can do as you wish." (as something that's been said to the lead character out of the blue) Then I came up with a rhyme for that (that took a turn to BDSM, as my lyrics are wont to do), and more followed, becoming a song rather than a story in seconds. Over the next twenty minutes I came up with the rest of the lyrics, and that's the story of how they came to be.
Note the cover image is NSFW, as usual.
"You can be what you want, you can do as you wish."
That's what she said when she took off the leash.
"I want you with me" was what I replied
Speaking the truth of my heart and my mind.
"Even without the chains or the ropes?"
She looked to see if that dashed my hopes
"Even without the ropes or the chains,
I still want you holding my reins."
"I set you free, to do as you please
and yet, you wish to remain on your knees?"
"Yes, my love, my Mistress, I do.
Whatever it takes to stay near to you."
"What if I tell you to rise up and stand?"
"As always, your wish remains my command."
"And if I make you achieve all your goals?"
"That is why you have the control."
"And if I wish for you to decide?
Without orders from me to abide?"
"I'll suggest an amusement park trip
With coasters that launch, spin, and flip."
She laughed at that and said "Okay,
We'll have to try that some other day.
But as for today, do you have a wish?"
"Yes, my love. Can I please be back on your leash?"

This is quite an impressive and intoxicating track! lots of things going on, and it all works very well. That vocal treatment is really neat (tho minor thought, I'm a very 'vocals forward' person, so I'd love the vocals a little louder-(maybe a touch brighter too?) -- if i didn't have the lyrics above I would not have been able to understand them all) great work tho, and I love all the instrumental bits a great deal! a wild wall of sound that's endlessly inventive and fun.

Wow, great palette of sounds used here. The vocal treatment works really well, especially with all the vocoder (?) harmonies.
Didn’t realise you could play Sax? That’s a great addition to the electronic elements, and nice interplay between the saw synth/sax during the epic build too! It’s all very well balanced too, lots going on but nothing overbearing.

I like the chord progressions here. The acid bass really adds depth to the choir pad. Nice drum drop out on the arrangement after the 2nd stanza. Very effective. There is a lot of space here without words AND the words tell a story. I would say it is ripe for a music video.

There's so much good stuff in here. I really like the sort of echoey ethereal vibe, but the piano is probably my favorite part. :)
Great to hear your stuff again. Super impressive production as always.

Textures, intensity, and production really complement one another. Having the lyrics really helped - it allowed me to hear what was being sung way easier. Love the downtempo vibe.

Great concept to build a song around. This was especially fun in headphones with things bouncing from left to right and back again. Lots of great textures on this track and the sax bits were unexpected.
