Not only do I have a dog, but I also have a daughter on the autism spectrum. She's also happy to interrupt whatever I'm doing - and did when I was in the middle of writing the song about my dog.
But the surprising thing I discovered in the last few months is that she is a mirror of myself... her cluelessness is MY cluelessness. I'll burst into a room with something on my mind that I think is the most important thing in the world (but it's really just something stupid that lunatic voice in my head thinks is important while the silent RealMe knows better).
So while I was inspired by my daughter interrupting me, I was really writing about myself. Now you know.
The cadence of the chorus is kind of like Don Henley's "Driving With Your Eyes Closed". I hope to demo this one.
Oh, BTW - my daughter absolutely loves the K-Pop boy band BTS. Some days it's all we hear and see in our home. If you know much about their songs, then you'll see what I did. :)
I’m only working here - sure, interrupt me
Of course what’s on your mind takes the cake
Will you have it, will you eat it, will you give me a slice?
Oh, that’s asking too much - my mistake.
I’ll just stay silent in my little corner
Hoping that you’ll take the hint and leave
Will you get it, will you do it, will you give me a break?
There’s more going on than you conceive…
Living in your own world
Living in your own little world
Living in your own world
Living on your own
You’re as smooth as dynamite in butter
You’re a black swan bringing on the pain
Your persona - it’s an idol. Did I drop my mic?
Oh, you didn’t like my humor once again…
Living in your own world
Living in your own little world
Living in your own world
Living on your own
You act like you own everything around you
You act like you’re the boss of me
You act like you’re the only one who matters
And you can’t see…
You just can’t see… that you’re
Living in your own world
Living in your own little world
Living in your own world
Living on your own
But I guess I should have known…
You’ll never leave me alone…
I’m slowly turning to stone…

You know it runs in families! I was diagnosed last year! Though I was developmentally assessed at pre school and through. Unlearning all the toxic ableism in the world whilst overwhelmed, isolated & facing such questions is a lot though. But yeah, I got all the names. I tend to shout at people on the internet about it. I get them shouted at me from my daughter watching YouTube & being frustrated with her situation.

Funny/sweet song background. There are some memorable phrases here,
turning to stone
dynamite in butter
hint and leave
Musically, the transition between the 3 stanzas on the bottom will be the very effective when you demo it.

This gives the impression well of the moment thematically. Some.nice word choices and turning stone is a good and punchy ending to the line

I have a BTS-maniac daughter too!
This feels like a pretty sad song. I hope it's not as bad as that.
