Feb 2022 metal virtualinstruments instrumental
I wrote the original loop (the first 20s) one week ago and I didn't know how to go with it so I put it on the side.
Now, February 1st, beginning of FAWM, I decided to expand on that loop and here is the result.
Inspired a bit by the recent Shadow of Intent's sound (Melancholy and Elegy)

Wow this is awesome, really love the orchestration with metal! Very cinematic and dramatic, but also hits you in the nads. The drum programming is insane! And the breakdown around 2:30 just reignites the whole thing. Really great track!

Good grief!
Didn't know what style was coming after the epic intro, but I should've read the tags.
That line starting at 1:05 is wicked against that guitar and those intense kicks.
Great drums, btw!
Man there's all kinds of feelings here - tension, preparing for like a journey of epic proportions (those strings), being in some kind of fight, royalty (snare and brass at like 3:00), all kinds of epicness all over.
And yeah that ending section is beautiful.

Whoa, you have REALLY moved things forward with this; full-on pomp rock? Yes please! The countermelody on the french horns is glorious (it deserves to be brought forward in the mix a bit more, IMO). Timps, orchestral snares, AND proper metal drums really get the job done. And oh man, those guitars...
I beg to differ with the sentiment expressed in the title; you very definitely know what you're doing here. An AWESOME start to FAWM, sir.

Damn, when those drums came in... So incredible! The drums were definitely the star of the show for me. Truly great! This is a great song.
@emplate Feb 2022
Well, this has kind of Dimmu Borgir vibes, with all the symphonic metal approach. Would really like to hear this with overly dramatic growling. Nice production. Drums are kicking all kinds of ass!
@zeekle1998 Feb 2022
There are some great guitar licks in there. The heavyness with the symphonic orchestration works really well.
I hope that was a virtual drummer cos dang, playing the kick drum like that would kill me.

Liking the change ups in many moments this doesnt let up. Was wondering where it would go.next

Stabs of synth strings and tympani did not make be expect SHREDDING AND DOUBLE BASS PEDAL. Would listen to more like this. I'm jealous of the drum fill at 1:03 as those are not my forte. On a diff note, the artwork on your Bandcamp page with all the dogs made chuckle.

Intense and engaging are my 1st reactions. I don't believe the title is applicable to your production skills. On the contrary. I don't want to overuse the adjective "killer" but it is what it is. You've got a winner here.
@nadine Feb 2022
Just the epic opener I needed today! The breakdown is a killer. I wonder how you compose this. We need more synth metal!
@jackdawfactories Feb 2022
I have to say that I don't think the title of this track is accurate. You're melting my face off, is what you're doing! This is killer. I can't help but pull a face and move my head.
