One of my songs has a tag that says "You found a ZONG" What's that mean?

  • @jacobeverettwallace  Feb 2022

    Just means it's a song that hasn't received a comment yet. :)

It’s a Fawm goal that no song remains a zong, that every song gets heard or lyric gets read. Hence when you click on the song tab to find songs to listen to, one of the categories is zongs. Another is fawmlings, to encourage also listening to new members’ songs, not just members you might already know. It’s why fawm is fawmily for so many people.

    Zero comment song = zong.

When the first comment is added… the zong is busted.

And yeah every FAWM many in the wider community meticulously bust all remaining zongs :)

Thanks for the info. The ZONG is gone! I am a first time FAWMer and have been so busy getting my songs polished and recorded that I haven't had time to play around on the site, but next year I might be better organized..

Treasure them, because they tend not to last very long

There's a glossary on the FAQ page, too.
