WEEK 2 CHALLENGE: ONE NOTE MELODY
Write a hook or melody that is primarily centered around a single note.
Examples: "Baby You’re A Rich Man" (The Beatles), "Out of the Woods" (Taylor Swift), "Mr. Brightside" (The Killers), "Never Really Over" (Katy Perry), "One Note Samba" (Antônio Carlos Jobim)

Okay, I really love how mine turned out. A one note melody just builds up so much tension: https://fawm.org/songs/129273/

@max Feb 2022
While doing the W2 One-Note-Melody challenge, I realised I'm channeling the code to most Operation Ivy, Rancid, Tim Armstrong and Interrupters songs.
So that is their trick: One note melodies!
Learned something doing this challenge.

I did one, taking the challenge very literally - "Dog Tornado", https://fawm.org/songs/129269/ I realise the synths in the chorus should be louder. Will go back and fix shortly, but otherwise I really like it,

@ohljazz Feb 2022
Thanks for this challenge - it kick-started my first FAWM song, which I completed in about 3 hours (it's short tho') https://fawm.org/songs/129284/

@klaus Feb 2022
Please remember that if you do a whole song with only one note, Yari, a new wave rocker and movie composer from Finland might sue you for copyright infringement. :)

@the3queens Feb 2022
Here's mine but it's totally accidental. The one note falls at the end of the choruses. I'm counting it! https://fawm.org/songs/130095/
-
@karlsburg25 Feb 2022
Hmmm this was accidental. amazing instruments provided by bephane , but the melody verse surely counts. https://fawm.org/songs/130070/

@humantornado Feb 2022
Here is my attempt at giving the one note melody thing a shot! There is a whole part of this song this is just entirely C. https://fawm.org/songs/130310/
-
@guitarpatz83 Feb 2022
I’m not sure if this counts, but see what you think - the lead vocal chorus hook is mainly a one note melody (D)

@chriscrowing Feb 2022
I got prompts from two pals for this, the build & verse is all A, meant to be QOTSA style but my vox kinda change that.

@halfwayhome Feb 2022
Started this a while ago, in the dim-and-distant past of two weeks ago. The instrumental backing pulled together several ideas, and the one-note melody sort of held it together. Maybe.
In the end, it's about right for a closing track to this years FAWM album: https://fawm.org/songs/137524/
