Influences: Moby Grape, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Gram Parsons, and other old or dead people.
I've been playing and singing in bands and by myself for over 50 years. I've only started to seriously write songs within the last eight years, though I have some older songs. That being said, I'm am really slow and have the tendency to wait for inspiration. This February exercise should be good for me.
2017 update: Had a most excellent FAWM last year. Made the 14 song limit and collaborated with people from all over the globe. Hoping for the same this year.
2018 update: Ditto to 2017 update.
Love FAWM!!! Can't wait to get started!
Last FAWM was 2019. I'm excited for this year. I have done many collaborations here and am looking for lyricists.

William I play this all the time. In a word, it's perfect. Thank you again.
No problem!
Will do - these ones are still open but not sure any are what you would like:
Shooting Star/Black Hole
(Rock feel, dangerous liaisons)
Olympic History
(Rock ballad feel, sociopolitical)
Artistic Sensibilities and Passionate Pursuits
(Folk adult contemporary, diversity )
I WANT YOU
(Pop rock, uptempo fun, electro pop, dance)
I have loved our prior collabs and would love to collaborate again! Thanks so much for your note and comments on I Still Want You. Another FAWMer already claimed that lyric, however. Maybe we can find another one? For any credits Elizabeth Petty is fine. Thanks for asking! And do let me know if there is another lyric or if there is one I can write…
Gazpacho Police -- all yours! Have fun!
William....I just sent you an EM. Thank you for your interest in my lyric, The Love We Never Had.
Thanks for the comment, William. Good to see you around.
I'd be grateful if you wanted to collab on anything of mine. Anytime.
Much obliged for the kind words for “What About Me”, William. It’s nice to get at least one on the board!
