Influences: The Script, Tristan Prettyman, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, and a wide range of folk singers for their honest lyrics and social commentary; Beethoven for the passion in the music. My tastes range from Bob Marley to Benny Goodman, from Black-Eyed Peas to bar songs. There is beauty in it all!
Sassy and honest, with a biting sarcasm. I have a few serious neurological conditions (pain and muscle function; they do impair speech at times) I've been dealing with and music has been great therapy for the body and soul. I love the creative challenge of FAWM, and the inevitable release and growth that comes with it. This is fun for me - nothing more. I don't care about commercial viability or song length or even if something is "good" or not.
Update 2 for 2022: yeah, so... I've decided to go for a FAWM x 4. That would nearly match what I completed during 50/90 last summer in 1/3 the time, so slightly ambitious, but I have a lot of childhood/teenhood trauma to work through, so there's no lack of material. We'll see how this lands. For the record, NO - I will not be giving co-writing credit to my Sh!tty Sh!tty Family for all the songs I'm writing about them. They've gotten enough out of me already.
Update for 2022:
There are several real life priorities I'm focused on this year, so I'll likely only post lyrics this FAWM even though almost every song does have music. That's how I handled 50/90 in 2021, and I was very happy with the results. I ended up with way better writing and a lot of emotional processing that I could then go back and work through after the challenge was finished. My goal is to have fun, enjoy the community, and reach new creative levels for myself while keeping the plates of my spoonie life spinning without too much effort. Production on any level is not a concern this year.
BuT yOu caN jUsT Do a VoIcE aPp dEmO: ...I said what I said.
I can't wait to challenge myself and be inspired by my fellow FAWMers. Let's do this!
2022: ????
2021 (50/90): 60/63 - someone discovered skirmishes! 3 were the result of morphs, so I only take credit for 60 songs.
2021: 17
2020: 14
2017-2019: we do not discuss these years
2016: 1
2015: 14
2014: 14

Thanks for the comment on "Florida Man"! I wish the evening news would have a Florida man segment to end on a lighter note, I'd volunteer this for the soundtrack.
Thank you for the compliments! Quite a guy that Florida Man indeed.
Hi there, it's your turn in the lyric morph chain :) are you still on it or should I pass it to the next person in line?
I alluded to your anecdote in this song - hope you like it, and let me know if / how you want to be mentioned. :-)

thank you for comment! and thank you for making prompts!! :)
I agree its only there views that matter and i hope am reflecting what many of them tell me -It has very high profile politically here - possibly election winning stuff (whether they are doing it right reasons is debatable but hey if it gets the right outcomes that is good) I have other views but they are probably for a different time and place
Perhaps i also live in a very different place that is going forward not backwards
Hahahahahahaha! Sounds like a great word to make fun of to me!
Thanks so much for your comments on my song Time to Do the Cleaning. I really had a lot of fun with it.
Just replied and yes it was in my Spam folder? How did you know? We can chat later tonight if you'd like.
So glad to have you here with me and supporting. Would love to chat sometime. I don't know where that screaming metalhead came from, and it's frankly freaking me out a little!
Thanks for the quick answer. I will think about this some more before I make a decision.
Hi, I have a question and hope you can answer for me. I did a rewrite for my skirmish post (I believed I could fly). I added quite a bit. It is more like the opposite of failing -lol. I wanted to know if it is appropriate to post it as a new 'song'? Thanks, Andrea
Thanks for welcoming me to the community and for your kind words about my song!
Thank you vivalarayna that was kind of you to say.
I really appreciate the feedback thank you! Also adore the detail of people seeking Medusa out to bother her and then being pissed at the outcome…
Thank you so much for the great feedback. I’ve only been doing this for a minute so it means a lot.
I promise I don't have anything against winter per se - it really has its own beauty and, after all, there is the joy of slowing down and stuff like hot chocolate ;) Thanks so much for listening!
Thank you for understanding the Rihanna of it all
Thanks for the feedback on Love and Alcohol.
Thank you for the feedback on This Crazy Show!! Much appreciated and the demo has been added :) <3
