Thanks for sharing your songs and commenting on mine. See/hear you next song writing challenge!
You've been slacking this year. Normally I would expect a couple dozens songs here by now. Thanks again for turning me on to the motorik. I can't believe I made it this far without hearing about that explicitly (though I've obviously heard it). I find it entrancing. I pulled up some youtubes of people doing that beat at various tempos, and I found I could listen to it for a good while with no other music. Weird
Thanks for your comment! If you want to add lyrics or anything else that would be awesome, since your music is always awesome :)
Thanks for your kind comments on "Beyond the Gate"!
Thanks Scott!
Yup yup, that was a recycled drum beat from one of my earlier songs this month I piecemealed together on my e-kit and some guitar pedals and sent to Candle as well :D It will probably make at least one more appearance in a slothcore tune I started today LOL.
Thank you so much for your comment on “Would You Listen?” Means so much!
Thanks for your comment on Fuzztopia. It does have a Sabbath feel -- I was just noodling in F#m with a drum track and that's what sort of fell out!
Interesting. I thought maybe is was a toy xylophone with LOTS of effects on it
Thanks again, Scott :)
Just sent you an email about the super collab!
thanks for your comments on chalk it up. i wrote s lot of rap for other people in the late 80s but i performed the raps as rockabilly songs. one of my biggest regrets was during a phone call with film director jamaa fanaka about his script for a movie about death row records, he paused to say he was going to get ice cube on the line and make it a conference call. when ice cube got on tjhe line it was only to say he couldnt talk because he was out the door to the premierr of his movie. always wished ii couldve talked to him
Thank you so much for coming to listen and your lovely comment! You're on fire :)
Thank you, Scott. And thanks for sharing your fourth, I'm sure it will be one of my favorites this Fawm!
Awesome! I'll be sending you a Google Docs with all the details and a guide track when I record the instrumental. It's going to be crazy fun.
Likewise! And hear ya!
Referencing JJ? Wow, thanks! He's my super hero!
Hey, I was brainstorming ideas and thought of doing a silly multi-part multi-collab. I was wondering if you wanted to sing on one section of the song. I was thinking it would be like "A Quick One While He's Away", a bunch of little segments with a story that keeps gathering characters.
An Epiphone SG Special? Huh... My latest guitar purchase was an SG Classic with P90s. Absolutely killer. Still want a Tele at some point for the super-twang. :)
Awesome, it ain't FAWM without you!
Yay!!!
Glad to hear you'll be making some music!!!
Hey, we missed you during most of 50/90!
I hope you have a great FAWM (if you are FAWMing).
Wherever you music rests within your heart and mind. I hope that they can write it all out for all your friends to find. I'm hopeful to find you on this page friend.
Hey man, hope to see you around this FAWM! I missed your stuff last 50/90.
