Influences: Neil Hannon, Belle & Sebastian, Cole Porter, Pulp, Kings of Convenience and songwriting teacher Pat Pattison.
2022 is my 5th FAWM: Last year I wrote three songs.
I'm a victim of pop music and -culture and their promises of beauty and equality for all people. So I never could have imagined that after The Beatles there would have come a wave of right-wing conservatism in Europe and the US .
Still I think that The Beatles and their disciples made wonderful, powerful maybe even emancipating music but the means of production of Pop must change to save the earth and make it a more beautiful and fair place. That's why I despise Spotify and other platforms that exploit the dreams and skills of the creative.
And still and most of all I try to make good, groovy, funny and sweet music. I play guitar, hammered dulcimer and duduk.
I write mostly in German. But if I must I can write English lyrics as well.

Danke fürs zuhören! Zu Deiner Frage: damit möchte ich auf Folgen von Traumatisierung hinweisen. Innerlich friedlich und ruhig zu sein ist schwierig bzw. mitunter auch unmöglich, wenn jemand Gewalt erlebt hat.

Hi, danke fürs zuhören und kommentieren. Der ursprüngliche Gedanke war zuerst eine Art kindliche Vergangenheit zu beschreiben: alles was schlimm ist, ist gleich ganz schrecklich schlimm kann aber durch eine einfache Umarmung wieder gelöst werden.
In der Gegenwart geht es einem zwar oberflächlich gut, aber das alte Wundermittel wirkt einfach nicht mehr. Mmh, schwer zu beschreiben ;-) -

Just watched your Elbwalzer video. Fascinating arrangement! It reminds me of a lot of the soundtrack work for offbeat spy movies in the late 60s - Music with this feel was used for scenes where a real air of mystery was required. Well chosen video too.
I remember an Asian friend explaining that as a Westerner watching these dances we miss 80% of what is going one. The local audiences schooled in these dances can interpret the subtle hand movements as if they were dialogue, apparently. -
