Oklahoma-born and Kansas-raised, I've roamed over the years - have called New York City, Nashville, and Würzburg home over the years before returning to Kansas 15 years ago. Now a big and exciting change is in store as my wife & I have decided to move back to NYC in February! Unfortunately, that may influence how much I'm able to participate in FAWM this year, but I'm gonna give it my best shot. FAWM number 6 for me - I'm so thankful that I took the FAWM plunge 6 years ago.
Gear: Gibson J-45 acoustic, Epiphone Les Paul 50s, Ibanez Micro-Bass, Korg D1 piano, Cubase DAW, NI Guitar Rig 6 and Bias FX guitar plugins, Audio Technica AT4050 mic.

Hi Jeff! It’s so nice to meet you! I couldn’t help but smile realizing the connection is from Writing Wednesdays! Pressfield’s humility and practical advice for creators gives me a swift kick in the rear each week. I think I used to believe crafting songs was like sprinkling the muse’s glitter over piano keys, but I’ve learned just how much work and dedication you must have as a writer or creator of any medium. Showing up is half the battle!! Don’t you enjoy the comments as much as Steve’s post?
I’ll also catch up with your music soon!
The corpse song, with @wolfkier at the helm, is going to be FUN!!
There are two things that can suck about it though, sometimes people drop the ball, forget, stall, disappear, etc... and sometimes (very seldom) a player will completely sabotage the flow, taking nothing from the theme (if there is a theme) or the track they were sent and leaving nothing, even vaguely suggestive, for the following player to pick up on.
That's kinda why I put some rules on this one, Key, BPM, necesarry phrase/hook, and why it's "skirmishy" so it, hopefully, moves quickly.
Indeed corpsing is fun. If FAWM was just a year round group of geeky corpse makers I'd be a permanent member.
This corpse style GIMME15 is new from last years 5090. It is quite a bit different to the older more established corpse game: Where there are 1 minute sequences stiched but the players only get to hear ONLY the last 10 seconds of the previous players section. These older corpses come in various flavors: songbits, instrumental, lyricists blind matched with musicians, and there is even now an "experimental" and "weirdo" shoot off. All fun and challenging and crazy when finished.
Here's an example of lyricist blind matched with musos version:

Here's a plain songbits version I stitched: https://fawm.org/songs/132061/
Once you've corpsed you never look back! :)
And you have production skills and are prepared to stitch, there's always a place for you.
Hey, my email is aburozskiwork@gmail
For the corpse thing lol
Thank you. I'll be back.
Come play??? https://fawm.org/forums/topic/12954/
Thanks a lot for your comments! @tinear did some real magic in the instrumentation and production of "Hollywood Queen". No idea how he pulled this off in a couple of days. I'm not done with producong "How are you" but I feel like this will be a good song when done. I'm glad you enjoyed your listens!
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the listens and comments. Definitely intrigued by your suggestion regarding some trumpet. Will have to get back to you.
Meanwhile, do you have any particular songs you’d like me to listen too?
Thanks a lot for your kind words on "Fit right in". Your comment is well-appreciated. And yes, the lyrics are based on a list of misfits, variants and mutations that are precious and wonderful. My vocals are just a placeholder, we will re-record this with a better singer and produce in a good quality. Just wanted to share my thoughts before FAWM is offline.
Hi Jeff. Nice playing with you on @gregthehero's piece. Best of luck in your move to NYC. I just moved to Nashville :)
Tit4tat? Anything particular you’d like me to listen to? If you are good for only one I’d say either Feeling My Way or As You Are as ones I’d like to get more listens.
The samples were from ‘Network’! Nice catch! I love that movie.
I appreciate the kind words on my tune! I was listening to the Musical Box earlier today and felt inspired :)
thank you for the kind words! your story gives me hope. I shall try to upload the tracks later tonight. better late than never!
Lyric sent to email!
Nearly there on the lyric. Be with you within 24 hours
Opening verse is
The men stand on street corners
Pushing baby prams
They bought at the market peak
They fell for the companies scams
Got a few snippets, will see what comes together in the next couple of days.
Hey, thanks for commenting on my songs! The backing track for "We're Total Opposites" was created in Band In A Box, which uses actual instrument samples but doesn't go into details on what make and model as far as I can tell (other than "acoustic").
Thank you for your comments on "Dust Bowl" - much appreciated!
Glad you liked my "Too Much Baggage" song.
Just gonna give yours a listen now.
hey Jeff, just checking in to see if you're still interested in playing some trumpet on a track? if so, I will (try to) start to write something suitable and demo it. how should I contact you, the email above? thanks, rock on!
Hi Jeff, I will be in touch with some trumpet stuff later in the month : )
Hey Jeff, let's do this!
Looking forward to more of your power pop gems and sweet, sweet harmonies.
Good to see you back, i guess we have to do one don’t we!
Welcome back to FAWM and welcome back to New York City!
