My time is spent working in the fields of genealogical research and writing both fiction and historical non-fiction. I have always loved studying song lyrics...perhaps the lyrics that speak to me with great connection are those those that bring me into a story - literally bring me into the very heart of a song. If a song was a painting, I would be sitting inside the painting. I like to fully immerse myself when listening to story songs that transport me to worlds in my imagination, hopes and aspirations.

  As I hack back the sudden late rush of spammers, what a nice surprise to find a new member who is real! Further to @zecoop's comment, there is also the quieter and longer song challenge of 50 songs in 90 days, which fires up July 4th. If you want to comment as you browse through FAWM, bear in mind that numbers of actives drop away once February is finished, so while everything stays up, people who haven't indicated that they're still here are unlikely to see comments. (This can be quite disheartening, I know!)
