Influences: A lot of the guy/girl-with-guitar folks from yesterday and today have had their tunes rolling around in my head, and I’ve covered many over the years. The John Denver/Jim Croce/James Taylor era folks were especially prominent.
- Year 11 -
Welcome back.
Last year was rough, with medical struggles compounded by horrible medication side effects, but I got through 14 songs.
This year, I still have vertigo, but I’m off all the medications that only made things worse, so I figure I have no excuse to miss out on the fun that is FAWM. My studio space is mostly set up, and I’ve been rekindling the creative writing process as we head to the first day.
If this is your first time finding my profile, I'm an acoustic americana singer-songwriter. It's a little bit folk, a little bit country, and a little bit pop all mashed together. I've been focusing a lot of my writing efforts on writing songs for the broken, the downtrodden, the hurt, and the lost lately. Something to shine a light to show others they are still wanted and loved, and that people still care.
Footnote:
Feel free to be constructive rather than kind. The quality is going to vary, as will the effort I put into the demos. Typically they range from - crawled out of bed and recorded an idea into my phone while half asleep through carefully recorded productions.

Collaborations are welcome during FAWM under the agreement they will, by default, NOT be considered joint works. All contributions will be individually owned unless other agreements are made in advance. I am open to true co-writes with shared ownership, but this must be established in advance of a joint effort. Awesome! :)
Well spotted, yes that's a pedal steel in "Deep In The Heart." Band-In-A-Box let me dial up a setting with the proper tempo, time signature and instruments for a country ballad with pedal steel and generated a backing track for me.
Stuart! Thank you so much for that comment on Pretty Little Things. I was freaking delighted that you mentioned the 4 line/3 line lyrical flow. I was hoping someone would!
Hi there. Sorry my track was missing. It’s either still uploading on YouTube or gone forever. I couldn’t keep all these videos on my phone and was a bit gung ho deleting them before being absolutely certain they’d worked - never mind- hope you’re having a great fawm
Thanks for your comment on my song, Spin Me Up. I may be addicted to reverb X-D
Thanks for the kind words on "Desert Rose" -- I hope you're staying warm in Michigan!
