We're so glad those lyrics resonated with you. It's hard because you don't want to get too down and bring others down, but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone.

  • @nadine Mar 2022

You're welcome! Have a nice time with your first guitar :)

  • @scottlake Mar 2022

It’s sort of a hobby of mine helping people find inexpensive but good quality guitars.

  • @scottlake Mar 2022

If you are still looking for an electric, I can help you find something local to you. Just hit me with your zip code and I can separate the wheat from the chaff in your local used market.

  • @jess  Mar 2022

Thanks so much for your comment on my Get Pas This track splitty ! I'm glad - if that's the right word - the feeling I was trying to convey got across ! :-)

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

    You’re the absolute best splitty.

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

Lol the famous Jett Jackson was awesome when I was a kid. Ya that was super sad.

  • @fuzzy  Mar 2022

Thank you for the great comment on "Orbital Railgun"!!
Yeah, @Nahleh381 and I are trying to put together a whole album of that kind of stuff.
    An interesting Experimental experiment!

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

For some reason when you mentioned jet Armstrong I thought jet Jackson (RIP) lol…not laughing at wishing him peace just laughing cuz my child brain…

  • @looprication  Mar 2022

Hey saw your note on my wall! Everyone worth their sat has some degree of impostor syndrome man, and I’m definitely no exception! I listen to my demos all year and pick out every little thing I could have done better, or at least differently. And to paraphrase myself, bad artists don’t worry if they’re not any good, only the great ones! Not that there are bad artists but you get my drift. Let’s def make some music soon!

  • @angelinapowersuit Mar 2022

Hey there, I SO appreciated your comments on "The Kids," thank you so much!

  • @looprication  Mar 2022

Wow thanks SO much for your comments on "all who wander," it's rare when I actually love something I've done so much so it means a ton to me that someone of your talents felt it too. Still going through your demos this year but I think you know I'm a huge fan and while I'm bummed I couldn't comment on all during February Imma have a bitchin March lol!

Would love to have a meeting of the Mutual Admiration Club sometime and talk shop!

  • @gm7  Mar 2022

You are the man!!!! ...Great FAWM you had and thx for letting me tag along this year. wooohooo i had a blast!

  • @spazsquatch Mar 2022

A perfect French Omelet only has 9 steps according to bon appetit, so that albums is going to have at least one filler track. @nahlej381 is going to make it a banger, but filler.

    1. Farm Fresh
    2. Smoothed, not Whipped.
    3. Don't get Sticky
    4. Keep the Heat Low
    5. Season to Taste
    6. Slow and Steady
    7. Rest a Moment
    8. Fold Don't Flip
    9. Slather It
    10. Tasty Nibbles (Instrumental)

If @metalfoot can do the periodic table, this sounds like a breeze. Probably going to need to keep that NSFW tag handy. lol.

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

Idk why autocorrect said crack to the future but that makes me reimagine the franchise with Dave chapelles crack head character as Doc! I’d watch that lol

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

Thanks so much man! Your support means so much! And I too am I lover of the crack to the future franchise…let’s just be best friends already! BFFFFFs! Again I positively love your music and the fact that you also sampled Network (before I did) puts you even higher on the leaderboards of cool in my book!

  • @nahlej381  Mar 2022

I feel that. I’ve been hooked on the new binding of Isaac DLC since November

  • @aniya Feb 2022

Thank you for your comment on Lipstick and Face Mask Love and for all your comments this fawm. It’s always a delight reading your thoughtful comments. It helps me keep going. Thank you!

  • @bigmood Feb 2022

ahhhh, it's all good - I've been in and out of the fawmverse this month, I get what you mean. Next year!

  • @sunfire Feb 2022

Hey, thanks for commenting on "Waves Come And Go".
    Glad you liked it.

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 2022

Egg noodles and sausage? Ha! Classic for Wisconsin kids!

  • @santadharma Feb 2022

OK that makes sense--1 hour challenge. Yeah we can't even set up our instruments in 6 minutes lol!

  • @jess  Feb 2022

Thank you for your thoughtful words @splittybooms ! yes I like it too when the words are a bit vague ;-)

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

    Musical knowledge..edit

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Thx man. Your analysis and comments are an insight to your musical legal.. cool. My god your comments are more indept that my first technical report. Lol

  • @doggolito Feb 2022

Thank you for your kind words on "w" :D
I tried to end it in a epic way and I guess it worked ^^

  • @jessespillane  Feb 2022

I absolutely love the sonic 2 soundtrack! I have no doubt that sound track seeped into the cracks within my brain as a child and has influenced some of my songs. Chemical Plant Zone and Mystic Cave Zone are some of my favorites! The latter I think has a similar sounding lead sound. Thanks for the comment.

  • @halfwayhome  Feb 2022

Hey, cheers for your loveliness in response to the 'One Life' track... Actually, as it was only my second track this month, it feels like an age ago since it was created, and your in-depth description of the track (can I steal it for the liner notes!?) reminded that I actually quite liked it, and I might need to go have another listen!

  • @jtsteam  Feb 2022

Thanks for your comment - I wasn't sure what the title should be and eventually settled on something a bit clickbaity :). I find Duolingo is lots of fun. Not sure how much I'm learning although it's definitely more than nothing...

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

Dude your music amazes me. I come back to relisten to your stuff over and over.

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Chemisrty was played on FAWNtalk today..you are a star my man...well deserved I may add.

  • @annaharp1 Feb 2022

Thanks so much for your kind comments about my haiku track :)

  • @cts  Feb 2022

I am honored, sir. You are appreciated. That's what's up!

  • @richaaaay  Feb 2022

Splitty...You are a gem! Thanks for all the comments...And making such great music.

  • @djtjb Feb 2022

LOL that is fantastic. I just got into the channel last summer and I had his album Neo-Soul'd Out on repeat all summer!

  • @djtjb Feb 2022

Not sure if it's the same dude or not, but you should check out Gospel Musicians on YouTube. Jamal is the man. I rewatch those videos all the time. I'm not a very good piano player, so I pretty much stick to his begginer vids, but man what a fun channel.

  • @slightlydrunk  Feb 2022

Thank you very much for your kind words on The Gloomy Day. If you like this kind of track, you might also like The Final Curtain, just saying ;-)
Yeah, it's been a wild ride. Feels like in the past 6 months, I've found an outlet to let out everything that's been bottled up for the previous 35 years. Thanks again, your comment is very motivating! Cheers!

  • @greengrassgirl  Feb 2022

Thank you SO much for your extensive comments and enthusiasm for Hit Man! It was such a thrill to be working with David and Rich and Georgie on this. They really made it happen and I'm just delighted. Thank you !

  • @djtjb Feb 2022

Not intentionally, but now I can't unhear it lol.

  • @aniya Feb 2022

Hi splittybooms, thanks again for your comment on my song Plant My Feet. It’s always very encouraging to read your comments. I really appreciate it. Have a great day!

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thanks a lot for your comments on "How are you". Yes, when I was searching for a vocalist, I wanted to have a kind of experienced voice and @lmr nailed that super well. I'm glad how it turned out, but we're not finished yet.

  • @cts  Feb 2022

Wow - you're almost at the finish line. Thank you as always for the great comments. It's very appreciated and before season of FAWM is over you will know once again just how much you are appreciated...

  • @kcc  Feb 2022

Hey SB! Thanks for having a listen and commenting on Into the Well. Really appreciate your time and input!

    KC

  • @doggolito Feb 2022

Thanks for listening to "eternal" :)
I use Synthesizer V Studio Pro with Eleanor Forte Lite voice pack. My go-to pack because I can't afford another one and the Lite version is good enough. And to make it scream, I use Azurite by Distorque

I played it before with a controller and since I switched to keyboard/mouse, I think keyboard/mouse is better except for driving. But it's up to personnal preferences :)

I programmed my drums because it's easier for me. But I think I can play "eternal" on a real drum kit. It's by far the least complex drum track I wrote for FAWM 2022.

Glad I finally awake you with that one ^^

  • @davidtaro  Feb 2022

Thank you for the Hit Man comment dude! The Billy Dee Williams thing cracked me up :)

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

    Sent you an email...enjoy!

  • @aniya Feb 2022

Hello again! I really enjoy reading your comments on my songs . Sorry for making you emotional on a work day. Haha. Thanks for listening amd taking the time to share your thoughts on Regular Old Living.

  • @pianoonthepatio Feb 2022

hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to read the liner comments and your super detailed comments on Stranger with Memories, Finding Blue Garden (and for mentioning Dire Dire Docks haha! what a throwback! I am so glad it took you out of work to go swimming. Can definitely relate to that), and the lo-fi Spaceship Coffeeshop (again I love that you read the liner notes and resonate with Big Hero Six haha. You mentioning a future conveyor belt gave me another idea...)

I love your stuff btw. Do you need a piano/synth for anything? Or would you be interested in collaborating on something?

  • @caseewilson  Feb 2022

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed comments on Now That's What I Call Robot Dance Party 2155 and also on The Rhythm of Life - really made my day!

  • @zecoop  Feb 2022

Yeah, we'll work it out. I mean it can just be a bonus track (not for public consumption) if folks want that. I just thought it was cool that so many got together to make that! It was fantastic! And, I loved where it started too, with yours! :)

  • @zecoop  Feb 2022

Loved it!! Kick a zecoopdrums tag on that one too, so I don't lose it and by the way... any chance I could stick that on my Bandcamp album post-FAWM? We can talk...

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Man it was a great collab...loved it. Thx to all the players
    @nahlej381 @zecoop @cts @djtjb

  • @sci Feb 2022

lmao, that is not what I was aiming for. I was specifically thinking of how you can make an evaporative cooler by just standing up a folded piece of paper in a pool of water. the song made me think of a fragile structure and that seemed like the best word salad to capture my thought.

  • @doggolito Feb 2022

Thanks for your feedback on "cats" :)
Yes, the "meow" synth was intentional because the preset was named "Cats". So I had to use it ^^

Very happy you enjoyed it !

  • @sbs2018  Feb 2022

Interesting story of your childhood, House music, and DJs. I can’t even imagine growing up with House music. I just “discovered” it a few years ago when I started getting into music production, signing up with Sonic Academy, Groove3, etc. Opened up a whole new world. I try to do more Indie Pop stuff and not just House, but now I hear “Slap House”: is the new thing and I can;t resist that. Lol! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • @cola Feb 2022

Hey, good to see you around! Probably no vocal synth from me this FAWM, but you can definitely expect to see some this summer.

  • @jessespillane  Feb 2022

Wow! Thanks for the really nice and detailed comments you had on my songs. It really made me happy you enjoyed the songs and I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and write those.

If you decide to do the challenge, I'm really looking forward to hearing your entrance music :)

You're comment about drum programming got me curious about how you program drums. I tend to program something vaguely with the feel I going for and copy paste that across the drum track. I record the other instruments and then go back and meticulously edit the drum programming to fit the recorded parts, add variations, fills, velocity changes sections, etc. Then I usually stick a midi velocity and timing variation midi plugin that comes with reaper. I could never get recording drums on keyboard/pads live thing down. I'm also miserable at making quantizers work for me so I tend to avoid them.

  • @cleanshoes  Feb 2022

Thank you so very much for your kind comment on What the Body Knows!

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thanks again for your nice comment on "How are you". It's got vocals now. Definately not Peabo Bryson, but soulful and emotional in another way. Check out if you're curious.

  • @katestantonsings  Feb 2022

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7eAYtHA3wM
This is a good song from that film. Tangerine Dream-vibes. Enjoy!

  • @aeye Feb 2022

hahah you are the third person I've cost money this FAWM. WHOOPS! Definitely hit me up if you have questions. I don't use it a whole lot but it has some definite advantages in some spots ( like chip tune for sure)

  • @cts  Feb 2022

    Stem me up!!!

  • @dragondreams  Feb 2022

You are very kind! Thank you :-)

  • @lanasolyluna Feb 2022

Thanks for all your lovely comments and glad the lyrics of mind waves resonated with you. Trying to fake a bit of optimism even though it’s a struggle sometimes.

  • @angelinapowersuit Feb 2022

Hey there, thanks SO much for your feedback on "The Kids." I'm glad you can relate in your own way, love for our children is similar to any other love, just with added responsibility haha. And most of all - glad the drums don't both you :-)

  • @sci Feb 2022

woah, thanks for your kind words!
It's kind of funny to hear you call that lead comforting. I was aiming for some really somber vibes, but I guess the contrast with the tension can paint such a picture huh

  • @richaaaay  Feb 2022

Splittybooms!!! Thanks for the awesome comment on Stilletto Assassin. I was just a visitor in the factory but still appreciate such a generous comment. Been digging you music this FAWM!

  • @clbalke  Feb 2022

"The title drew me in as I have a co-worker (almost typed 'I have a coffee' lol) who can pretty much be defined by these two things. Which is cool because for Christmas I can always buy her coffee or wine-related thngs.
Anyway, mckillop hit it on the head for me, too. Give me that coffee so I can have the strength but I need that wine to deal with what comes after I get that strength lol
I think I'm missing the wine part in my life these days, cause I need something to take the edge off.
The theme of balance in the lyrics comes through, too. And I feel that I could apply things other than actual coffee and wine to this - like resolve and compassion, or determination and the will to endure, etc.
I think great songs make me reflect on personal matters, and this did."

Thank you for your detailed comments and positive words. It means a lot to know my song makes someone think and have a reaction. And to say a song of mine gets anywhere close to a great song... well, I'm touched.

  • @bandybum Feb 2022

"I tend to forget stuff from FAWM to FAWM - now I remember you're the one who commands my attention with your perfection of all 80s vibes that exist.
I knew this would be perfect IMMEDIATELY - and I do literally mean perfect.
What can I even say - from the sound selection, the melodies and motifs you play, the mixing with the perfect fx, that friggin bassline...
Its as if you somehow knew exactly what I wanted to hear lol
That pitched snare at 1:52...c'mon now.
That lead you bring in after the break at 2:03 slithers and slides through my brain hitting all the right synapses or whatever - more perfection.
Excellent vocal sample selection and placement.
You make the music I can only dream of making; but for now I'll settle with sitting back and just listening to it with bliss."

    - Splitty, you absolutely made my day with this comment! Thank you so much for the overwhelming generosity of your words. Blessings to you :)

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

Dude you always know just what to say to put a smile on my stupid face. I’ll email you a pic of the purple raiNES. Thanks for the support! Can’t wait to bust out this collab!

  • @unpronounceable  Feb 2022

Thank you so much for your comment on 'too tired'. It meant a lot <3

  • @jayjay  Feb 2022

@splittybooms I was definitely going for the old school vibe. Thank you for your kind comments.

  • @lmr  Feb 2022

Hey Splitty, thanks so much for your kind words, it is truly an honor for the song to be appreciated by someone who actually has some building skills unlike me who has to you tube everything to figure it out how to do the most basic maintenance. Presently dancing around to "Keep Me Waiting", great stuff!

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thank you so much on your nice words on "How are you". I'm glad you enjoyed my song. My friend is fine, thanks for asking. I called him today, he's just busy as hell. I had to google Peabo Bryson and yes, it's the complete opposite. I somehow envision this song with a breaking voice, somebody who gives me the feeling that s/he been through a lot of things.

  • @lanasolyluna Feb 2022

LOL brain is often not on either. My theory is that the ogres actually like the beans, and we're just attracting them by throwing beans in the yard.

  • @samplebandit  Feb 2022

hi! thank you so much for the comment you left on my track i'm very glad you dig! :))

  • @aniya Feb 2022

Hello! Thank you for your wonderful words about my song Dear Little Me. I really appreciate it! Sending hugs!

  • @katestantonsings  Feb 2022

Hi Splitty!! Thank you for your kind words about my stylophone song experiment!! I wonder if it will be fully realized, or as you encouraged me, it's good as is? It was fun to create regardless. I have a little gift for you:
    http://808cube.com
    Have fun :)!!

  • @celineellis  Feb 2022

Thanks for your kind words on my song ‘Satellite’ - and for teaching me the names or descriptions of some of the sounds lol. Electronic music is total off the wall for me but I wanted to do some stuff out of my comfort zone this fawm, and this was deffo it

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Play wah on one of your song...like ya!!!
    Thx man

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

Hmmmm….not saying drugs are an appropriate response…but psychedelics are fun…just sayin lol send us anything any time! I love your sound man. Hope you can let that inner child play and have some fun

  • @doggolito Feb 2022

Thanks for your comment on my first FAWM track :D

I tried to do something epic indeed, but like the title said, I'm didn't know what I was doing. Just laying down ideas, not sure how they'd fit in but I guess it worked

  • @theodamus  Feb 2022

Thank you SO MUCH for your lovely comment, really appreciate the careful reading and listening! Now, singing the dictionary.... it is FAWM, any idea is worth considering! :D

  • @psyt Feb 2022

Thanks for the rich feedback, splittybooms. :)

  • @djtjb Feb 2022

Nah that's a such a good title though. Super sad stuff, but honor that crush my man.

  • @atam94  Feb 2022

Thanks for listening to "For The Love Of Music" and sharing your thoughts! I sang on one demo last year, but other than that, I have mostly done ambient guitar exclusively. This year, I'm pushing myself to sing more, so that's what I'm doing.

  • @wearedinosaurs  Feb 2022

Hey thanks for your kind words :)) it's an odd Fawm for me this year so it's extra nice to read what people think! Toys have awesome, weird and unpredictable sounds you just need to add an output jack and you can get real nice surprises :) Let me know if you ever need some toy sounds for a track!

  • @candle  Feb 2022

Thank you so much! I swear, we're not in your head (which means we, unfortunately, can't help you with the headache. Sorry ;( ). I always say that I want to write & record music that elicits a personal reaction from anyone who chooses to listen. Looks like @dzd & me did just this in this instance. Thank you again!

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @aeye Feb 2022

Thanks! I don't have glaze or exhale, but that's cool to see how they sound. Nice to know arcade is useful. It always looked interesting but after I had bought Signal from them a few years ago I kinda wrote off their libraries as meh ( signal wasn't anything I couldn't accomplish with an arpeggiator/gate elsewhere which as a bummer to me)

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Thx man. Your comments are more eloquent and descriptive than any of my lyrics or liner notes. LOL

  • @aeye Feb 2022

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed Discovery. The dream is to one day get to do something professionaly score wise ( game /film whatever) but for now we'll keep on making music for imaginary films :). Hope you have a great FAWM. Looking forward to more from you.

  • @nuj4x  Feb 2022

Thanks for the comment on "1984"! :D I've never put up just a lyric only, but I've never completed FAWM either. I stayed up all night on the last day of January to the morning of Feb 1st writing something because I wanted to have my first FAWM song be something completely original!

I'm working on the music for it right now and hope to have at least a demo up by Monday!

  • @pianoonthepatio Feb 2022

Thanks for the watchlist! Your stuff is so fun! I'm looking forward to hearing more

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 2022

Thanks so much for your kind comments on Creatures Of Peace. Truly made my day to hear how it helped you transition into a better frame of mind to tackle your day. Wishing you a wonderful day and FAWM!

  • @gm7  Feb 2022

Thx man I appreciate your kind words. I will listen to Brenda from 227 shortly .. sound intriguing ?!

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

Dude you always know just what to say. Lol thanks for listening! Can’t wait to hear some of your tunes!

  • @kissinginpublic  Feb 2022

Thanks for the kind comment! Looking forward to hearing your stuff this year.

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

    Splittttyyyyyy!!!!!!

  • @zeekle1998  Feb 2022

Loving those influences, the eclectic mix is amazing.
Hope your music is just as cool this February. Happy FAWMing.

  • @djtjb Feb 2022

Thx for the grats on the new job! Dude I am so ready to hear some splittybooms!!!
