Influences: The Smiths, R.E.M., Cocteau Twins, Brian Eno, Velvet Undergound, King Crimson, Dylan, The Beatles, all sorts of 80s and 90s college rock, Tim Buckley, Can, Talking Heads, Todd Rundgren, Stars, Radiohead, Brandi Carlile, Wilco, Neko Case, Joni Mitchell, lots of jazz (although I can't play jazz), The Sundays, and lots and lots of musical family that never fail to inspire me: Glowfriends (Tambourina), Fiona Dickinson, Jes Kramer, Carrie McFerrin, Matt Borr, Megan Dooley, Kaitlin Rose, Corn Fed Girls, Katy May, Liz Snavely (LVNMUZIQ), and, especially, Stacy Koviak-Davison :)....the list goes on and on and on.....
Seventh time around (but really sixth, as last year was a great big fail)....
I'm originally from Detroit, but I've been in Kalamazoo, Michigan for almost 25 years. Although we are currently on hiatus, I play guitar in the band Treading Bleu -- and all of my bandmates are FAWMers as well (@kovbleu, @zecoop, and @guatecoop). @kovbleu and I are also a duo called Static of a Stranger, and I'll certainly be writing with an ear toward things that we can use for that project!
Once again, I have no idea what this year will bring. I've still barely played guitar (or any instrument, for that matter) since FAWM 2020. At this point I'm not sure what it will take to recharge the creative batteries, if indeed they will still hold a charge. But I've again powered up the studio, put the pedalboard back together, and pulled the amplifiers out of storage, so at least the tools are available if I can find a reason to use them.

Damnit, wrong bleu member, I saw Stacey's name in your profile title and assumed it was her. Anyway, I enjoyed your track.
Too funny... terrifying was the word Mrs ZeCoop described the second tape loop as. From the first 30 seconds she actually was almost having an anxiety attack... as I was sitting back with my eyes closed relaxing to it. Music hits people differently for sure! And yes, you can't have an analog delay in the chain without twiddling the knobs and get the ups and downs, haha. ;)
Aw, thanks Chris, that song (and the subject) made me a little crazy, I'm glad it wasn't a total fail. And thanks for your vote on the heart - though it kind of makes the challenge too easy because doesn't 99% of all songs include that word? Doesn't matter, I guess, but I'm keeping the box checked for sure, thank you thank you!
Hey there… what’s next? Keep going!!!
I haven't commented yet, but I LOVED your first song. I want more of that. I hope you do LOTS of atmospheric stuff, because I just can't get enough of it!
And thanks for the comment on Snow! I am amazed how different the Park Theatre is than ANY other pedal I have. It adds a depth that is incredible. I had forgotten that, since I hadn't played anything since last Feb.... ahem. Wonderful pedal and a wonderful place! :)
Thank you for your comment on This is Literally 1984! Happy FAWMing!
Good to see you out there in the comments - hope you have a great FAWM!
Ready for another go? I hope so!! :) xo
Take Care!!
Hey sweet Lady..I feel your pain..hoping you find the joy again…you’re way too talented to be on a hiatus for too long..perhaps just find a way to noodle around without full blown productions..
