Artist Bio

Influences:   Contemporary and traditional folk music; Folk-rock & Americana; Great American Songbook & old Broadway; Irish trad. And a whole bunch of other stuff.

UPDATE: 2/28/22: Despite the health challenges that slowed me down this year, it’s been wonderful! Looking forward to March listening month and to FAWM 2023.

Feeling subdued & worn down this year, but still very happy to be back among the FAWM community.

This is my 7th FAWM (I started in 2015, but had to miss 2019 due to family obligations). I don’t have an exact year-by-year count, but I’ve always posted at least 14 solo efforts plus a few collaborations.

I’m an old folkie. Although I’ll use a few virtual instruments from time to time, I’ll primarily be recording with guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and ukulele.

Thank you for the kind words about my piece "Pleasant Dream Turned to Crap" I appreciate them.

  • @paulharrison  Mar 2022

Thanks so much for your kind comments on several of my songs! I really appreciate knowing how my songs (and which parts) strike people. Ah Moab...I've probably been 5+ times... last in 2018. I met Cosy on the East Coast and I still think of her as one of the best songwriting teachers I've met. I thought her camp sounded great...and it has been! It's a bit far for me to go but I still might attend sometime in the future. Well, thanks again for listening to some of my songs!

  • @nancycunning  Feb 2022

Thanks so much for listening to my songs and responding. I loved your idea about doing a four part Southern Gospel rendition of my Eight Day Meeting song. I was so surprised and delighted that that one came pouring out of a skirmish. Maybe for next FAWM or for 50/90 I'll see if I can do some more family story gospel songs. I love the songs of yours I've heard and look forward to hearing more.

Hi Sharon, thank you so much for your beautiful vocal melody and vocals for "In The Silence". So sorry for the limit of the collaborators for FAWM postings.

  • @wolfkier Feb 2022

you weren't able to be added to the collab with Nadia and Kristi but I just wanted to leave you a note in case you miss my comment/appreciation. Really awesome work all three of you! Salve for my battered ears :)

Thanks for the song comments! Including the 3 songs from FAWM this year, I have 9 songs done for the rock opera, so a long way to go yet! I'll probably release another solo album or original songs before the rock opera is anywhere near ready.

  • @kiffa Jan 2022

That's OK; I made the mistake of putting it in the 'Games' section. Realized it probably didn't belong there as soon as I hit the button. Oh well. Anyway, viva la FAWMerick!

Yes, hope to hear some more of your always beautiful songs!

  • @tamsnumber4  Jan 2022
