Artist Bio

Influences:   Robert Burns, Ry Cooder, Leonard Cohen, Sarah Bareilles, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman.

I didn't do FAWM 2021. My focus was, and still is, the survival and now rebuilding of my barbershop chorus. But I need contact with this group.

Born in the Midwest USA but lived most of my life on the West Coast. Always loved music and songwriting, but never formally studied.

Thanks everyone for being here. I love this community.

This month turned out to be incredibly busy, and mostly with music-related projects so it's all good. I did't have any time to focus on songwriting. I got a few ideas down at least. I wanted to finish a couple a cappella arrangements, especially for Hushaby and this other song Melanie that I wrote last year. I'll post the solo version of Melanie here, just so that it's part of this grouping. Thematically, it also takes place under that same willow tree I sing about in Whispers. I can't seem to get my head out of high school and my first love and how college split us up. I need to snap out of it.

Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time to listen! I studied religion and philosophy in college so I think about things too much I guess lol

Thank you so much for your incredible comment on “Would You Listen?” Means so much!

Thanks for your kind note. There's plenty of courage in the world, it's just the good kind is quiet and easy to miss. Happy FAWM
