She/her/hers

I'm a singer and performer whose first focus for FAWM is on writing lyrics, so I'm in search of folx who will collaborate on creating the musical side.

I love to listen to and perform at the musical intersections of jazz, soul, gospel, rock, roots, blues, pop, and folk. But I can also enjoy acapella, chamber, classical, international, spoken word, and electronic music.

For me, it most often comes back to clear, unapologetic vocals delivering authentic lyrics, matched with an infectious rhythm, memorable melody line, and complex harmonies. Intuition balanced by craft.

If you find my stuff appealing, let's talk about collaboration!

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my songs! It means so much to me. I’m still working on my confidence in sharing my music and being vulnerable in that way so it’s truly touching to receive such lovely feedback. Also thank you for shouting me out in the forum!

  • @slusk Feb 2022

Thanks so much for your positive comments. Deservedly or not I’m happy as long as my music can connect with the listener and bring out thoughts and emotions. :)

The cover was not intended to be part of the FAWM challenge, I had gone through 14 a while back, more for people'e interest. Thanks for the feedback

  • @johncrossman  Feb 2022

Alright, well. I have a mostly finished backing track I'm going to share on the doc for your ears, but I think you should be singing since it's your message and lyric. I would describe it as acoustic gospel-y something? Hm, see what you think.

  • @bithprod  Feb 2022

I don't write music, but the verses and chorus for Symphony go something like this (by syllable):

    1: EGEFA / BAGFC / CCECD / AGGAGEC
    2: CECDG / BAGE / CDEAGD / AAFEDC
Chorus: AFG / EFFFGE / FFFGFE / FGFECDCE / FFFFFFCCD

  • @johncrossman  Feb 2022

Got it and checked it out a little bit to come back to. Thanks!

  • @johncrossman  Feb 2022

Yeah, bring it on. I just double-checked that my fawm-linked email works. I'll look for it.

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Hey Sarah, thanks for your offer, but I just received some vocals for "How are you" and updated my demo.

  • @cindyrella  Feb 2022

    Great!

  • @bithprod  Feb 2022

Blues? Ah, I was thinking some Aaliyah style sensual r'n'b.

  • @johncrossman  Feb 2022

Hello stranger! Sure, what do you have in mind? Can you send me something?

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thanks a lot for your comment and interest on "How are you"! I'm already in touch with a vocalist. Let's see what happens :)

  • @bithprod  Feb 2022

Hi Sarah! I don't know if you saw Cindy's comment, but it would be great if you could lend us your vocal skills. Here's the backing track: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tc1enb66u1e8dh5/symphonyBT.mp3?dl=0 If you're able to email me (see my profile) a clean wave file, I'll do the mixing. Thanks!

  • @ayehahmur  Feb 2022

    **or perhaps "doody"

  • @gardeningangel1  Feb 2022

Hey thank-you for the thoughtful comments. I already wrangled up my cowboy voices but if I write anymore silly sketches you've got the part!

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 2022
