Artist Bio

Influences:   Patty Griffin Paul Simon Indigo Girls Tracey Chapman

Rachel Garlin plays like a love letter to today's precarious times, each song evoking a blend of heartache and hope, social reflection, and self-discovery. Her lyrics are often stories drawn from interactions with others -- on trains, on the street, in her work as a community-minded artist, and at performance venues.

She is a touring singer-songwriter with eight albums and a freestyle-to-full song creative process that has led to a prolific career on main stages across the country.

Garlin lives in San Francisco with her wife and kids.

Rachel is here!!! Looks like you certainly won’t be showing up empty handed this Monday night :-). Looking forward to hearing four times the usual RG this month!

Hi there, nice to see you back this year. Just powered through your first four songs. Great stuff. Always interesting lyrical lines and beautiful and unique melody accompanied by rhythmic well played guitar.

Question for you, aside from you and DH, are there any others from your Monday night songwriting group on FAWM?
