  Re: speaker comparisons, absolutely. I spent hours last night reading ten year old forum threads like "What setup can I use to make my RIckenbacker jangle" (responses like "So, the jangle is supplied with the guitar, learn to play..."). After clicking on too many high end speaker pages, I went to Craigslist and found an $80 used V110NT to plug the Valve Jr into and maybe learn to play and not feel entirely like a dilettante with more money than sense.
