Influences: This test we're attempting some bizarre blend of: Fall Of Troy / At The Drive-In / Cursive / Pretty Girls Make Graves/ Deftones / Bad Metalcore
PN: He
I bought EZdrummer and plan to lazily use whatever default's it gives me for the whole of Fawm.
UPDATE - so normally, I pretend I'm going to write some heavier tunes only to wimp out on the basis that I find them super hard to record (and sing on). But I've only gone and had an *attempt* - be kind! My approach mainly revolves around the Oasis method of "if in doubt, just add another layer of the same thing".
I have spent the first 2 days just recording s#!t-tonnes of guitar riffs and backing tracks in a bizarrely productive manner, and today was my first empty house chance to put vocals down.
..I was productive again!

Thank you for the comment and compliments on "Flames Kiss the Twisting Sky"! Had fun with that collab!
Paul, Thank you so much for your comments on Ghost of a Chance. I agree with you that Gwyn's treatment of the lyric is a wonderful match with the words. I love listening to it.
thanks for commenting on Old Guitar, the memories that came out were all triggered by a chord that sounded kind of 'Sarah Records' indie. Although the gigs (at the local Labour club) and the miner's strike actually happened a couple of years before that label started. That guitar has been around for the whole time and has many more stories to tell. The Newcastle pop legend Martin Stephenson said (of 'Old Guitar') 'Good one Pete' on Facebook today and that is very pleasing to me. It comes a s a direct result of name checking my mate Jimmy Cole who plays banjo for Martin :) Well done for getting to 14 by the way! I am still on track ( I recorded one today but it's on a 4 track and I won't be able to transfer and post it till tomorrow.) Cheers
Thanks for your comment on "Thinkabout", glad you dug it.
Thanks paulh for commenting on I Been Wearing Chain Mail.
14! YES!
Paul, Thanks for stopping by my page and for your nice comments on Ghost of a Chance. I was very pleased with what Gwyn did with this lyric--he captured exactly what I was going for. I'm glad you enjoyed it, too.
Great to see you on FAWM again, our collab last year was one of my faves. Got me out of my shell a bit for my first FAWM. Thanks for checking out At Your Command and High Above The Moon!
Thank you for the kind words about my piece "Disintegration". Appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for your comment on "At your command". Oh yes, @chrismyth02 completely nailed the vocals. I wouldn't come up with this phrasing and it works so well. The piano bits just happened. I played along and didn't realize that the first part is counting in 9/4 and somehow the main riff I created has been 19/4 and so I adapted the whole rhythm structure around this.
1 thanks so much man! 2 I’m jealous your FAWM candy says bust my zong…that’s the best one!
Hey, thanks very much for your generous comment on Chemical Waste. I really appreciate the feedback and the time you took to listen.
Thanks for your kind words, that's also one of my favorite parts of the song.
Thank you for the comment on Sarvá, much appreciated! I'm glad you enjoyed it and got some proper oomph from the bass.
Hey thanks so much for the kind words on "take care". I find lyrics to be the toughest part of songwriting - especially on a fast flowing hip hop track with two full pages of lyrics, so I really appreciate the compliment. Cheers.
Wow, that was great! Yeah, feel free to post whenever you like. :)
Thanks. This made my morning!
Thats really interesting and thank you for your comment on by little ballad . And its interesting cos the melody part you are talking about is defo my fav bit of the song. Cheers
Thanks for your comments on "Dust": The guitars are virtual instruments. I just started ot learn acoustic guitar, so I can't pull off tacks like this (barrel chords!!!). But today, I've tried to play the intro lick and figured out that this is hard. I think I need a capo... Hmn!
That would be awesome if you musicify Alone, Undone! I really liked Your Courageous Ghost. :)
Thanks for the comments friend!
Yay ezdrummer! I have to update my bio still, that’s last year’s… I never did get through all the silly starstream noises!
Let's do iiiiiiit!
DJ 1237 in the house!
Bring on the bad metal. I fully expect you with a bad metal hair cut (I'm sure you can buy a wig) for your profile pic.
What up, what up!
PAUL! Looking forward to pretending I like metal! I'm sure if anyone can make me like it you can
NOW what if I told you I wanted to write pretty much all chill stuff this year? Down?
Also simple? I don't know who I even am any more
Definitely Maybe level rhymes unlocked
