2022 is my 6th FAWM. Recently I’ve dropped new album (https://onerpm.link/921321653178), almost all songs from it were written on previous FAWMs, I just finished production for them. And now I feel irresistible need for new songwriting endorphin rush.
Last 3 years I wrote only 7 songs during each FAWM due to melancholy and overall overload in life. But I’m going to break this trend this year.
Previously I used to do a lot of composing stuff in DAW, record clean guitar and then tweak sounds on computer. This year I’m going to widely use my guitar pedalboard and record sounds I like directly in arrangements with little to no editing in DAW. Also I’m going to use Ableton Push2 and good old Novation Launchkey Mini for drums and synths sounds.

One more thing. I never did any collaborations on FAWM, but I passionately wish it and I feel it should happen this year. I’m open for any suggestions.

Last years I missed a lot of great music that was made here because of time restrictions. My aim this year is not to waste all these amazing things that happen here in Feb.

My checklist for FAWM 2022
* 14+ songs
* 3+ challenges
* 1+ collaboration
* 100+ comments on others songs

As always, I write and sing in Russian and give here a literal translation.

If interested, follow me on social media, streaming platforms etc. I’m glad to connect with you all, awesome, inspiring people ¯_( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ)_/¯

Here is a photo from a street concert in 2017 where I performed some songs from my first FAWM. That first FAWM was a game changer for me.

02/27/2022 yeah, I did it! There is a lot of material I can continue working with during the year. I did some number of challenges, a nice collaboration with Pete. And now I’m going to spend the rest of time listening to works of folks around.

I love you all! Peace to your homes <3

    Thanks for your comment on my song 'Outer Space'. Its one of my faves that didn't quite make the cut for the album I made of my FAWM songs, but it is one that I may well return to in the future.

    It's funny that you said that the reverb made you feel like you were in an ice cave.....That exact VSTi is from the Spitfire Labs and is called Frozen Strings....You win!

    Hi there! Your songwriting endorphin rush is happening just in time. Here's to some great songs this Febrauary!

  • @jorgevallentine Jan 2022

    Hi Aleksey! It's definitely hard to open up and share ourselves honestly. I think that's when the greatest music and lyrics comes out though. Looking forward to learning about you through your music. : )

  • @mosley  Jan 2022

    Happy FAWM! Glad you’re gonna be up for the fuzz challenge! Your influences are right up my alley! I’ve fallen short the past couple years too for the same reasons, let’s do the whole 14 again this year! I dig the approach you’re going to take, I gotta do less in the DAW myself too, and that’ll probably help!

  • @bootlegger Jan 2022

    Hey good to see you too! Good luck this year!

  • @metalfoot  Jan 2022

    Welcome back for another FAWM!

  • @petemurphy  Jan 2022

    Hi Aleksey! That's great! It would be really cool to do something. Wishing you all the best.

    Thanks, and I hope this FAWM gives you what you’re looking for!

  • @quork  Jan 2022

    Oh, apologies.

  • @quork  Jan 2022

    I really enjoyed your song, Tanana.. Great grooves. It’ll be fun listening to you. I hope you find some other Russian FAWMers, but if not you’ll have to represent.

  • @quork  Jan 2022

    Thanks, Aleksey, for sure with the mando and harp. I hope you have a great first FAWM. You’re off to a good start by embracing the community. I look forward to hearing what you come up with.

  • @dragondreams  Jan 2022
