2022 will apparently be my fifteenth FAWM. Wow.
I play in a few bands but for original stuff I'm mostly a basement musician (guitar with occasional bass/keys/drums), I use software tools (mostly RealTracks with Band-in-a-Box but occasionally straight up MIDI tricks) to try to hide/fix the defects and fill in the gaps.
I occasionally add accompaniment tracks to guitar/vocal and piano/vocal tracks created by other songwriters. Contact me if that's something you might like me to do for you and I'll send you a link to a couple of examples.
I have an inner critic named Edgar that I need to tie up and gag occasionally in order to get anything done. I was going to write a song about him but he told me it was a stupid idea. ;)
If you want to collaborate on something, just ask. I'm fine with it most of the time unless someone else already has asked to work with whatever I've started. But if you haven't already, please check out the FAWM collaboration guidelines at https://fawm.org/help/#collaboration
A few of my current and former band mates are FAWMers including @axoqueen @jcuempire @dannen @jenniferjerboa @sheslin
I releases an album of (mostly) FAWM 2021 instrumentals at https://montgomedia.com/pandemedia

wow! I'll record my voice with this, tomorrow, when I finish my 14th song. This jazzes it up a bunch. Thank you!
And YES, Thank you for introducing me to FAWM!
Hi Larry I enjoyed listening to your songs. I wish I was a better at colab to add lyrics to some of them. And YES I'd love to see what you would do with the Luna song
I'd love to hear what you would do with "Nothin," Larry!
I'd love to hear what you would do with "Nothin," Larry!
(Sat.) Hi Larry. I just sent an email and file to my last two non-work emails that I have for you. If you don't get it, let me know. Thanks.
Hey Larry. Sorry, I initially didn't think to look back here for your reply re: B&B. That chord display should help...thanks! I'll start working on it soon.
Hey Larry,
The song Plasticville is named after the model train houses. We have a room full of the buildings and track and such. love your instrumental tracks. You have a very calm way them.
I hope you had fun, because you put together a very fun sounding track! Please go ahead and post it and send it to me as am mp3 along with the instrumental file. Thank you so much! You’re Awesome!!!! :D
Stupidity? Not at all!! I'm really looking forward to your take on the song, that was just a reminder, since not everyone cares about having a separate music file as well as the ones with vocals included.
I'm really sorry the file disappeared for you, that's so frustrating!. When you retrieve it would you mind emailing it to me, as well as the instrumental, so I can add it to my music files on my Mac? I hope that's not too much trouble, but it's important to me. I'd really appreciate it. :)
Glad you liked the story of my life, executive dysfunction. ;) I’d love to have you give it music. I could probably sing it if you send me an mp3 file when it’s done.
Ye gods. We're both still here, it hit me. 2007 and 2008 and out of Irene Jackson's website! Must drop a line there too.
Thanks Monty, I had fun with this. Now I've got to redo the production of it.
Thanks for your comments, Larry! Penny whistle...interesting idea. I have a friend in Easton who plays that, though he is a bagpiper too and that might be a bit too much if he suggests it :o)
Thanks for checking out my lyrics and catching that mistake. I write the word verse so often I didn't even notice. Too funny :)
I like your music a lot. Just checked out several songs on Montgo Media. Do you sing, too?
Hi Monty! Only a few hours now till the site opens up. I'm not going to stay up till 4am to be there for the opening gun, but I'll catch ya later ;3
Hey there! I was only there for a couple minutes, was going to come right back and then got way distracted! Hope there's a next time!
EDIT: Realize now this was about the Jamulus server and not the pre-FAWM virtual cocktail party. Yes, I did stop by, cool concept! I have to hard-line my computer into my network to get a better ping I think though!
I refuse to age gracefully.
Hi Montty, welcome back! Are we both geriatric yet? :D
@andrea As far as genres are concerned, I'm all over the map. Some examples at https://montgomedia.com
Thanks for the welcome Monty. I love to collab. What kinds of music do you like?
Happy FAWMing Monty!!
