2022:
We’re over half way through recording our 4th album and it’s going surprising well. It will be nice to start writing some new songs again after taking a bit of a break. Who knows, maybe one or two of them will bump off some planned songs and make the album?

Last year, my DAW computer broke and I had to do FAWM on my iPhone. However, I managed to get a great sound on some of the tracks and it taught me so much about simplicity and space which I am hoping to replicate this year; despite now having a Mac and my studio up and running again.

Hey hey guys. I have randomly gone and sent you an email with a rough acoustic song in case you fancy doing a bit of a two way thing with it. Check the email but zero worries if not. Karl (the second one ;-) )

  • @theawkwardsleep Feb 2022

Hey, thanks for the comments. Means a lot, because your music is ace. I’ll be back to check out more of your tracks. You’ve become a favorite for sure. -ru

  • @pabrizzer Feb 2022

i really appreciate your comment on seven - i thought it was going to remain a zong

  • @paulharrison  Feb 2022

Thanks for all of your very generous comments! I'm truly flattered.

  • @paulharrison  Feb 2022

Btw, Brooks is from the U.S. but lives in Cambridge, UK. (Coincidently, I'm in Cambridge, Maryland (U.S.).

  • @paulharrison  Feb 2022

Thanks for the Nic Jones suggestions. I've put them on a playlist. Do you know of Brooks Williams? He's one of my favorite singing guitarists (and a friend/mentor). Probably best known for blues, but he plays in other genres and writes and sings well, imho.

  • @paulharrison  Feb 2022

I'm glad you enjoyed A Seaside Chat. I'll have to check out Nic.

  • @radiobenedetto  Feb 2022

Hey there! Thx for mentioning Sufjan Stevens’s Carrie & Lowell in the “Using space in arrangement” forum. I’ve listened to it before and it never really grabbed me but I just listened to it again in the context of that forum and I gained a whole new appreciation for it. Always nice when a revisit turns into a new discovery. Thx!

  • @fonte  Feb 2022

    Obviously... ;-)
It’s absolutely insane how they survived. Wrapped up in that tiny little life boat. Almost sailing past the one tiny island they had to hit otherwise they’d be dead on a frozen sea. Wait...is this a song??

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2022

Of course I was playing all of those orchestral instruments!! I’ve been practicing….no, of course it’s Spitfire Labs and BBC Orchestra. Free and great. Thanks for listening!

  • @fonte  Feb 2022

Thanks for the lovely comments, right back at ya, am going through your stuff atm and just love it, very jealous of your voice! lol I’d say let’s collaborate on something but I don’t think you need me!

  • @hbusse  Feb 2022

Thank you so much for the generous comments on Whisper! So glad you were touched by it, it was very personal and meaningful for me.

  • @sph  Feb 2022

Hi, thanks for your comments and interest in "Slow passing clouds". Vocals over this would be super cool. Drop me an e-mail then we can work out whether I send you the stems or work on a bigger structure

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 2022

    Excellent!

  • @sbs2018  Feb 2022

Thank you (Slow Down). This is how I widen my music knowledge. Must look that up.

  • @tukayandryan  Feb 2022

Will definitely get in contact if we venture your way :)

  • @tukayandryan  Feb 2022

Thanks for the feedback on our songs Dan. Much appreciated. Love a good chin nod too! :)
We should be down your neck of the woods for a gig later in the year. Would be lovely to meet you!

  • @tukayandryan  Feb 2022

So great to see you here again this year.

  • @altum Feb 2022

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen through my stuff, your comments gave me big boost today - so cheers for that!
What a ridiculously warm sound your music has! It's like honey being poured down my earholes, and I like it. Good to hear some proper lazy blues too, the unorthodox percussion made that track really engaging.

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 2022

We Brit based FAWMer are really rocking it this year, so far. Love your stuff.

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 2022

Thanks for the kind comments on Running.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2022

  • @karlsburg25  Feb 2022

Well i'd love to hear stripped back as well but love it as it it matey. And i just seen @guatecoop comment. yeah i'd like to know how you record your acoustic's. They are fab

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2022

How do you record your acoustic guitars? I really like how they have such a tangible quality--like it's right in front of me. And yes, I am looking for details! Hahaha....

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2022

    excellent! Now....to listen!

  • @coolparadiso  Feb 2022
